  18. avid in-lines on a length of fox submerg, might switch beck to fox in-lines, as the avids are a bit too safe, I had one fly off on the cast last week. if I have to close the gap with forceps, it kind of makes them a bit fixed bolt rig.

  22. Camp sites with fishing are always worth a look, there is one one the out-skirts of coventry, there are fish up to mid 20lb maybe a thirty, it only gets fished by weekend break holiday anglers. They only sell day tickets to those stopping on site, it gets over-looked by night anglers. But they do sell tickets to anglers that are there for a few days fishing. If that makes sense.
  23. From the net as I have never fished the place myself Prairie Lake is stillfishing well. S Hughes using sticky krill had 10 Carp between 15lb & 20lb. Jason knights using club had 7 Mirrors between 14lb & 18lb. Matt Knapp also using club had his PB a Mirror of 16lb & another of 14lb. John Knights using club had a Mirror of 17lb & a Grass Carp of 8lb. Graham Ring using krill had a Mirror of 24lb 6oz. David Bristow using halibut boilies had 11 Mirrors between 11lb 2oz & 22lb 4oz. I'd still use mainline myself
  24. Have a look at Barston, the first tee, goes over one of the smaller pools and the last hole is on an island in the main lake, there are a lot of golf balls in that lake, I have often wondered if the carp show any interest in the lost golf balls, as a play item and not food.
  25. I'd ask the in-laws for the British translation for fackween pool, but they will just say something silly for the crack. I really should brush up on my Gaelic, seems a bit rude not being able to speak the indigenous languages of Britain. There is a carp fishery in North Wales I would like to fish called Celtic pools, there are a lot of Trout lakes in Wales, some of them are starting to go in to the big fish market, looks good. Some of the lakes in and around Snowdon are worth a visit for the scenery alone, probably a bit to high up for a carp fishery, but the Trout lakes look like something you would see in Canada. I really would give Celtic lakes a visit if you can. http://www.celticlakesresort.com/
