Sorry to bring up an old subject !!!! im fishing the Wrekin Res tomorrow and has any one got information on the stock of fish in their .... probably hard to say reading the thread and it seeming like a freebie pool ! and different methods, rigs, baits that work and the good pegs !!! Thanks !!!

i hear nothing but bad reviews about the anglers who go their , thats why i aint been but my mate is a regular their so he wants to do a little session but the sounds of things not to good of a place

haha maybe my source aint as reliable as i though haha bloudy parents ! any locations worth fishing at the moment ... being stuck at home/work is getting bit of a joke now

any recomendations for any other pools just incase it is !? ... i dont mind travelling , i know bayliss is not frozen over at the moment but fingers crossed stays like it !

yes Blakemere is worth a try ! , im from telford m8 so ellesmere aint really too far so i could give it go you know of any other good places mate ? can you nigh fish the one in ellesmere ?

Iv seen the 30 come out of Marchamley when i was fishing their last ! i know what you mean by it being slow ! ... im planning on trying the pool furthest on the left next time i go as you drive thru the gates do you know anythign about that pool i was told the big cats in that one ... but you here so many rumours you dont know what to belive ..... but i do recomment Blakemere apart from the price its good !

Well my dads m8 is owner of Blakemere Leisure its currently frozen over at the moment however it has a cracking stock of carp and quite few large ones too however it is quite expensive but the rules are quite reasonable and they dont allow many anglers on at a time so you aint got lines running left right and centre however it is bookings only ... im booked in to go Janaury !!!!! check the website loads of info !!! Another fav of mine is Marchamley near Hodnet i just love to fish this place dno why ! .. the owner says theirs only 1 30+ but theirs loads of doubles in their and supposingly a big cat ! (not 100% sure about this one) it can be quite pressured at time i prefer to go in the week so not as busy and prices not that bad £10 a night Hope this helps ... have look on google i searched for carp pools in shropshire and theirs loads which come up !!!

Thanks Jez ! ... i live in little Wenlock so Duncans pool just round the corner ! .... and yes the pools at stirchley by the leisure center been fishing their for about 2 weeks had loads of Tench out average 5lb and i had 2 cracking carp runs from the weeds on the right of the pool but couldnt land them since as soon as i struck their half way thru the weed bed. that was just on double corn however i went last thursday and had buga all !!! Do you have any info on Wrekin Res ? never caught carp out of their but it is the pool i like to fish most. and any prices which Rod and Gun Charge for their Wenlock pool ? Sterry

Fished it about a week ago i fished it from 7:00am to 9:00pm ! had bream after bream after bream not a single carp ... But still worth giving ago that was just a bad day on their but i have had some amazing days on their !

Hello !! Does any one know of any decent Pools in Telford area which still produce some nice carp in the winter this is my 1st fishing season and really enjoyed going after carp in the summer however i have been struggling now due to the cold weather i have recentley been fishing Ketley Pool and Stirchley pool right next to the housing estate. i didnt even get a knock at ketley and had 2 small carp out of stirchley. So if any one can give me some advice on which pools to go to and any advice on where to fish and which baits are good at the venues that would be great thanks .... and if you have any advice on the Wrekin Res that would be great i live right next to it ... love to fish it but never had nothing decent !!

Hi, I have currently started fishing about 1 month ago and i am really getting into it. iv really taught my self to fish since i dont know any experianced fisherman.I normally fish wide waters or middle pool in Telford- West midlands however me and a friend of mine are heading Marchamley on Monday to fish the night - im more of a float user because thats the best way i know how to fish. So i was looking for some advice about Marchamley pools about how to fish it ? different baits i could use ? and explaination on how to use general baits - boilies - groundbait mix etc I am really hoping to have good day/night at marchamley since the bigger iv caught is a 9pound Carp not bad but would like bigger So i would really appreciate some Advice - Thank you
