  1. if lake 2 is the small lake then you will find it pretty easy fishing. i think you might get pestered by poisson chat a bit although i know ron (the fishery manager) has done a lot to eradicate the problem. anyway, this problem can be easily overcome and it wont spoil your fishing. ro n and janet are brilliant hosts and will bend over backwards to make sure you have a succesful trip.
  2. Isnt everything. where would i go to find the right information to run this legaly?
  3. and yes of course the insuance would be correct.
  4. what about a group of mates who are sharing costs? thats how we have always done it in the past.
  5. does that include private motors?
  6. I have a renult master long/high top, which will take 4/5 passengers comfortably and is a smooth drive. I am thinking of taking people who cant or dont want to do the driving themselves, to the destination of thier choice. I have driven in france many times before, so i am expierienced. any feedback would be appreciated.

  8. might be worth talking to keith moors as he runs river trips on the saone. well he used to when we visited his fishery ( moorland fisheries) a few years back. check out his web site.
  9. i have fond memories of music filled nights at the cafe, whilst watching a light show given by mother nature. awsome!
  10. thanks for your support. really hope this is what we've been searching for. long live the dream!!
  11. Never fished it befor but sat on the banks a few times. I have friends who live in chalarbra (not far away) and they own the cafe on the side of the lake where the campsite is situated. I think the son, Valentine runs the cafe and his mother, Stephanie runs the pizzeria in chalarbre called Stellas. i think steph might call herself stella. So if you do go down, pop in and have one of thier wonderfull pizzas or one of the other equally nice meals from thier menu, and give her a big hug from me. Good luck with the fishing, wish i was there! brian.
  12. spoken to matt and yes the lakes are closed this year. he is looking to open for next year but if he is willing to take a chance on us it might be possible to do something for this year. He said the house is in need of a lot of work, so this sounds like the perfect situation for us. If the man says yes, then i cant wait!! I know kylie and myself would be an asset to both Matt and mellisa.
  13. Simmo, contacted Lac unique but sadly for me jobs already gone. So still lookin everybody!
  14. Thanks for the reply Andy. I guessed it wouldnt pay much but its the life style i want more. Fed up of chasing money. And if i realy need, i am sure i will be able to supplement it with some building work! I hope!
  15. My partner, her three year old daughter and myself are moving to france in 2 to 3 months time. I have been carp fishing for about 35 years now, so i have considerable knowledge and expierience in catching our quarry. my partner is a great cook and wonderful host. Obviously we will be looking for work and somewhere to live. An ideal solution for us would be to find work on a comercial carp fishery as a manager/bailiff and my partner providing those all important home cooked meals. I am a builder and decorator with my background being a bricklayer, soi am quite a handy person to have around for any renovation work or general building work. I lived in france many years ago and have returned numerous times since. I have a love of france and the french way of life and i cant wait to return! So if any one out there has a fishery or knows of any one who has a fishery that could use our sevices, please dont hesitate to contact us. many thanks brian and kylie.
