  1. Theres loads of carp of all sizes in burrowpit you can walk accross them in the summer months Have'nt fished it for a while if you planning to fish it soon you better hurry before the rain starts it often floods this time of year. It has great rewards for those who stick with it If you join the Lamb you can night fish it, they also have many other waters with carp.
  2. Try Barston Lakes nr Berkswell, you have Packington somers at Meriden just around the corner from there, Also Dynamite Makins down off the M40 you cant go wrong at these waters mate Directions all on the net if you look Tightlines
  3. Firstly Welcome to the forum. If your willing to travel Billing Aquadrome in Northamptonshire has a number of pools with caravan access however it is very busy. Try Kingsbury waterpark staffordshire not sure you would be able to setup in your swim though. Alot of Caravan parks have access to pools on site all over the country. I can't think of anymore however i have to agree with the last guy i would hate to wake up,look out of my bivvy to see a great big white caravan and the sound of a generator. You should leave it at home.
  4. Hi mate. Someone from this site once told me if you do your homework and be polite you will find loads of waters in the midlands and how right he was. Here are a few that may suit you. Catton Hall lake nr Lichfeild and Tamworth holds a good few thirties and loads of twentys the only down side is theres a long waiting list. They do have a website the last time i looked. Fisherwick Lakes nr Lichfeild have a small speci lake with a good had of twentys however you pay your membership and to fish the nights for an addtional £2 charge only to wake up and find sillyborns fishing the lake as it is open to the day ticket angler. This place will do a thirty soon it proberbly already has one or two. Lamb angling club in Tamworth have loads of waters with good heads of carp too. Almost forgot Fostesr of birmingham have three waters 1 is at Middleton nr Tamworth the other penns hall at Walmley and 1 in Little Aston. As for my syndicate i will keep that one to myself for now. At least until i have caught my target fish from this water she's a big old mirror thats proberbly 40plus at her peak. Only trouble is there's only around 40mint carp in eighteen acres
  5. it,s by lea marston hotel dont bother just another mud hole with nothing big iin it
  6. CATTON PARK, NR TAMWORTH, STAFFORDSHIRE i have just read on another forum called fishing magic 1 of the post's on there in november last year, that Catton hall fishery is open on a day ticket basis. I would like to know if this is true as i know the venue holds lots of high twentys and a few thirtys. The last time i inquired about this venue it was syndicate only limited numbers and a cost of 325.00 per year.
  7. PLANET CARP'S RADFORD MATE! GOODLUCK!
  8. A group of us wanted to fish this place before it became a syndicate. It looks a cracking venue with lovely fish, Why the change?
  9. The last time i checked the price's for weston park it was 250.00 per week per angler and they did'nt do sydicates there.

  11. LLLLLLLLLOOOOOOOOOLLLLLLLLLLL
  12. Well folks what can i say? Looks like i may have upset a few of you. This was not my intention. I have taken on board some of your comments and will put them into good use. Thanks again folks Chris
  13. hi coops, I feel that i must respone to your post replie. You say there are 2 forms of carping. Carp fishing and fishing for carp. How can you define the two. For me it's all about the quest to try and catch carp i have spent alot of time watching these creatures both above and underwater. I love nothing more than trying to catch these fish from any venue, after all not all of us are priveleged to fish those beatiful estate lakes or privite waters that hold big fish. I can bet nearly everyone on this fourm including yourself has been to france to catch a fish of a life time. So by createing venues across the country where dreams can come ture for those who cannot travel or afford trips aboard for the price of a day ticket i dont think they are a bad thing. After all it is our pursuit of these magnificent fish that drives every angler to succed in outwitting them that makes us equal which ever venue we fish
  14. Well thanks for the info folks we look foward to our vist despite what some people may think. Maybe we will meet in August Stu. Thanks again all tightlines and any more info would be great.
  15. Hi folks, im booked up with two mates to fish here in August can any of you tell us what its like? We are fishing Jade's lake. Thanks Chris
  16. Hi folks, im fishing barston lake next weekend never fished this venue before does anyone have any advice. Many Thanks Chris
  17. hi mate. Fished it two weeks ago. We did see fish moving but we had pegs 1.3.4 the pegs we wanted were 8-10 the deep end unfortunetly these pegs were taken by complete novice's who did'nt have a clue, we reckon we could have had a few fish from their but as you may know this is not a easy venue. If you go let meknow how you get on mate don't forget 8/10 best pegs during this cold spell
  18. Good question all of the above are right. I would also recomend that you use solid banksticks or pods make your butt rest fits tightly to your rod or always place your irst eye in front of your alarm to stop your rod being pulled into the lake. Good look and tightlines
  19. Thanks for the repsonse Dave i'm from Tamworth too. I know about Branston water park the only problem being there is a waiting list i was told and you can't fish all of the lake. We know about the big carp in the canal and will be giving it a good go this year. Have you tried it up at Fradley juncation there's loads up at the mucky duck (black swan inn) my mate had one over thirty a fews years ago so it's worth a try yourself. Have you more info on saphire lake's? also don't seem to recall yately where is that? Thanks again Chris
  20. Hi folks, Im new to the forum and i would like to know if any of you can help me find new venues around the TAMWORTH OR THE STAFFORDSHIRE AREA. I know of the Riddings,Cuttle mill,Bonehill,Fisherwick,Kingsbury but im looking for somewhere to do a session with a few mates that holds a decent number of fish around low doulbles to thirtys ! CAN YOU HELP? Many thanks to you all CHRIS
  21. Hi folks, Firstly if your a serious carp angler don't think about this venue any more its not worth the effort. Myself and two friends who have fished this venue before went back to this venue at the weekend thinking that the fish would have grown alot by now since it has been 3years ago when they fishied it last, and we did catch fish how ever the fish are in poor condition not just through handling on the bank but they are extremley under weight. The rumours of big 20's and 30's are rubbish with most of the fish from 6oz to 4lb if your lucky. We had loads of runs but the fish are that small they can't get the rigs into their mouths unless of course you use a size 22 hook and a maggot and you WILL land every take. However its not all bad i know this because my mate had one of their breakfasts he said it was great, so if you like an english breaky and catching little fish then this place is for you.
