I'd say small fish mate,usually with the method if big fish are attacking it you will get a lot more than the bobbin just rising and after a while it would just tear off. Try using a 2 inch hook link and leave your hook bait outside of the ball , it's worked for me in the past when I've been getting a lot of twiches but no runs. Also try to match your hook bait to what's in the mix, if using corn in the mix then use a single piece of corn on the hair. Ive had some good days using a lot of chickpeas and corn in the mix and then alternating the hook bait between the two. One other thing is you WILL pick up small fish as well.

How did you get on on puma?

Never fished it mate, tbh never heard of it before. I just haven't got the time to fish the headbanging waters, need to catch fish in my limited time. You do know mallard has a lot of cats too ?

It's not easy mate,the 2 24 hour sessions I blanked , it's only the last session when I did 72 hours that I caught.

To be honest mate that was the 1st time I'd ever fished a really weedy lake and the 1st time I'd ever used solid bags or chods so I might of fluked it with the chod's

It's was extremely weedy when I went , took me about 3 hours to find spots clear enough to feel comfortable to fish in. Apparently the pipe swim is the one with the larger clear spots, there's an island to one end of the lake too.

When I fished it last I was there for 3 days, the 1st 24 hours I fished all 3 rods with solid bags and pop ups, didn't have a bleep. I changed one rod to a chod and had a 28lber within an hour. Had another 2 fish on chods before I left. I didn't put any free offerings out with the chods. The guy next to me put quite a bit of bait out and never had a bite. I had all 3 fish on krill pop ups. Apparently cell does really well in there.

One bit of advice then mate, leave the spod or spomb at home.

Mallard?

To be honest I'm heading more towards Frant as I want to have a go at the mahoosive perch they have,but I'll let you know.

If you fish mallard and catch then you definitely stand a chance of a 30. Bridges I think you'd be very lucky. So tell me , do you feel lucky punk?

Yes mate , but 4 of them are match lakes. I've fished the speci a few times (mallard), blanked the 1st 2 times but had 3 on my last visit, it's very weedy and you need to book. Bridges does what it says on the tin, runs water , gets busy , but out of all the comercials around that part of the world I'd say it's my favourite. You can park by your swim and the cafe does decent food and fishing wise the average size is around mid double. 20s come out on a regular basis. Haven't fished puma but from what I'm told it is pretty much the same as bridges. Might be worth giving them a bell as when I was there the time about a year ago they had a new lake , not sure if it's open yet though as they don't update the website.

Don't think you can compare different era's. You don't play for England and man u for as long as he has without having some sort of quality. I think people should give him the credit he deserves.
