Stops are binned! However this still does guarantee a snag can not form, even from a running lead! At the end of the day we try to fish as "safely" as possible, But with a hook and line many things can happen

The art with this little nugget Jon, is to fish semi slack line, and tension the line with a light hanger, not fished on the floor! It will add tension to the line, but still semi slack, and the bow ( Arc ) effect, is your friend, until they hit the stop! As you can still get drop backs, this is true, This to me is the most sensitive set up I have ever seen, Beep, beep beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeepppp!

Buy some then Dave, but make sure they are not too tight, and will slide on the take, you can buy different sizes. Jon, 1-2oz is enough to start the spool wizzing

6 inches works fine for me, and after a take the stop is 2 ft up the line!

Hi Jon, Just as a suggestion, would you get a bigger response in the Australian section?

The other reason I have never used it is that it cures (sets) by heat, put some on a piece of foam to see what happens, It will smoke as it gets so hot and can combust! It's nasty stuff and I would never use it on my rigs or knots, Good for repairing broken mug handles

Here you go, basicly it's a heli rig fished on a short stiff curved link and a pop up is the standard bait, the rig is used to fish in silt or weed and the top bead is set to the depth of weed/silt and the rig should slide up to the top bead on the cast: http://www.google.com/search?q=chod+rig+pics Never used it but I think thats the basics

Still a superb reference which still holds true today, some thing may be seen to be outdated, but his application will still catch fish anywhere, apart from the lake he blanked on that I didn't! One of the modern innovators, I think we all owe him a great deal, Thanks KM
