anyone been here ? we are considering in going to these small but quite lakes think about 5 hours from calais. 5 lakes and a pond. with chalets.

I wish i was then i would have to pay to fish there. (as yet not fished in for several years) I work part time close to the lakes. so always around to see what peps are catching... That would be heaven to own my "own "fishery. I got close to that twice in the last 6 years and failed to win the lease due to being let down by my backer. Such is life!

This has to be Crow Green fisheries. The larger lake has carp to 35lbs cats to 80lbs sturgeon to 50lbs. pike up to 20lbs its a very popular water but fairly hard. very popular with the nighters and weekenders. does have some rules for night fishing. but not for day ticketers. has two other lakes the car park lake a general fish lake with the odd sturgeon and small cat. carp to 14lbs The match lake is like the car park lake a general lake but still can produce the odd surprise ,carp to 14lbs. The guy who runs these lakes has to be congratulated in the way he has looked after his lakes the quality of the fish and the pegs are in super condition. main lake was been widened and deeper than before. If only all day ticket waters was like this????

I tend to use very basic setups with very light ledgers (three quarters of an ounce)no lead nothing except for a bead swivel and shortish length of braided size 8 or 6 hair. For normal everyday carp this is perfectly safe. everyday to me means fish to 24lbs .useing fluro 14lbs as main line. For sturgeon and cats my setup would be a lot different but still useing smallish size 4 and maybe 6 hooks rather than the cat hooks normally used. but with a much heavier braid of at least 50lbs and main line fluro 20lbs or higher. again as basic of a setup i can possible make it. armoured fluro i may have to use for the first 2 feet (to prevent chaffing esp with sturgeons) but still useing light ledgers of under 1 oz.

i am looking for someone who is going to france fishing for 7 days who lives essex/london preferably ! Have the gear but no car but would be paying my share in costs . not bothered where in france or even spain. as long as there are fish. carp maybe cats and sturgeon. please send me a IM thks

For 2012 joining a syndicate in essex. Haveing looked at a number of potential syndicate waters in essex for over a month have almost decided. On my list was the following QL fishery Fyerning . full of crays but carp to 54lbs/ but i didnot like being grilled by the owner.But does have 3 lakes at over £500. Berners hall a good lake quite hard costing around £320 ish has crayfish but its now sorted out. yes a big lake but is exciting as the local swimming pool ,all it is a hole in the ground (a very big hole) no features whatsoever and yu need a baitboat. The lavers an excellent pretty lake big carp to 40lbs but a long waiting list. The Mill and the Rise. The Rise is a great lake fish to 40lbs but a waiting list.and more expensive than the Mill by £100 The Mill cheaper at £275 or less. has fish to 30lbs the ticket includes the smaller lake 3 acres and the 6 acre lake.quite a hard lake the main lake but the smaller lake is easy and some very good fish to 20lbs or more. There is also the odd large pike in the main lake. and general species lake the smaller one. all in all i decided on the The Mill there are other syndcates but i needed one that was local to ongar/brentwood areas and with 12 miles as i dont have a car and have to relie on a mc/s/ also price of petrol is always going up..

i would recommend crow green fishery brentwood.. £23 for 3 rods 24 hours. £13 for 3 rods 12 hours. good parking very close to lakes. 3 lakes car park lake carp to 18lbs or so the odd sturgeon/cat and small pike and bream. match lake carp to the same size. bream etc. The big lake cats to 80lbs carp to 35lbs pike to 20lbs sturgeon to 50lbs. Without doubt one of the best if not the best day ticket water in essex. note not an easy lake the big one. very popular at weekends .would recommend the angler go midweek april to november . note there is the odd crayfish problem there. facilities are ok but not great. there is showers??? washing facilities and water (mains) there is also electricity outputs also. The only negative is that its very popular in the summer at weekends. Another lake worth considering is birds green better facilites with showers and cafe and tackle shop. but again very popular with the younger guys so can be a little noisy in the summer. about the same price range. carp close to 30lbs. not as difficult as crow green but you are unlikely to get any sleep there. ideal for a quick 24 hours or 12 hours by the way you need to join there night club at £24 one off fee. which one would i fish if a serious angler wanting to do a 48 hour or longer "crow Green"

i would like to go to france for a weeks carping in 2012 anytime after april would prefer someone who lives in essex /london/herts and is going from either channel crossing or stansted or london airport. willing to pay the petrol assumeing driving as i dont drive ! have bivvy and bedchair etc. would prefer a lake that fishes easily ie up to 40lbs. especially as its a first trip.

i gather its an advantage to use bait boats and to get very close to the trees. the cats in there are over 70lbs and some very good carp but a little on the expensive side for me ! its also a little over grown in places... facilties there could be better. But its no worse than most private dayticket lakes in the area. ie Bentley fishery "which is crap "churchwood "which is lovely lake is expensive but the facilities are excellent. To be fair i not fished there myself but know the owner pretty well. YOU PAY YOUR MONEY AND TAKE YOUR CHOICE.

there are 3 lakes . the match lake the carp park lake and the main lake. the car park lake which is only about one acre has some good fish . carp to around 17lbs but there is likely to be the odd small strugeon and pke there too. the match lake has carp too but mainly silver fish . the main lake is the biggest lake about 4 acres maybe carp to around mid 30s sturgeon to 50lbs and cats to 80lbs some pike too... a hardish lake at the best of times but well worth doing 48 hours especially as only £20 for 24 two rods or £26 for 3 rods. discount for over 65. even a 12 hours at £10 is well worth it. best baits meat ,halibut,mackeral,boilies. But does get popular april to october best to go monday to thursday and out of the kids hols too. if you fish try the far bank not where everyone else fishes. watch also for the ducks they will take your feed. I would say it is proba bly the best day ticket lake in essex. and at those prices you cannot lose... Yes it has a downside (every lake has.) it could be bigger ! and parking area could be a little better (there a few potholes) but the parking area is large certainly large enough for about 30 cars.. on the upside the parking area is very close to all the lakes

i gather 5 tons of them was taken out. there appears not to be a problem . The water that is taken out is still be taken out in the summer by the farmer who owns the land. in the summer the lake drops quite a bit but by january its up to normal levels of 15 ft or so. Its a shame that the farmer does this but this is not unusual for a syndicated lake . (private fishery)

is there anyone who has fished this syndicated lakes ??? I am still undecided what syndicated lake i will join next year

iknow the owner very well but have never been there myself. what i would advise yu to do is ask the youngish guy who works there . he knows the right spots to go. from what i know about the lake you need to get your bait across the lake from one side. you need a bait baot. also the lakes are a little overgrown at some times . so sounds like a pop up or semi popup. From what i hear at the end of the season there is a lot of rubbish been left by anglers i gather this was a problem a couple of years ago. and i am shure that been sorted out. there are cats to 70lbs and some very good carp there. I would not say parr lakes are any better than other fisheries in the area. or any worse.. just keep away from bentley fisheries.. But the expert about the lake is the guy who normally serves in the shop when Bill is not there. Bill probably would not help yu that much and offcourse he is a business man and offcourse wants your money (like every fishery these days ). To be honest i probably wont fish the lake myself mainly because i dont fish at night . ( i dont have the transport) But would love to here how yu got on

i managed to look but was not that impressed with there prices. thats why i want to know peps experience esp with boyton cross lake as there are 3 lakes. I need to go and have a look. fyerning i have already dismissed them simply on the fact i met the guy who owns them and he changes his prices . one minute he says xx then another person asks him what the price is and all of a sudden its changed.. this is not the way to run a fishery. i shudder to think how much he would charge someone he did not like>

ok we have had where to fish how about where to avoid like the plague in essex. i have a list ! and why you should avoid them birds green ! too many young men fishing who have no idea about fishing just haveing a good time drinking lager . and keep away at night. yet the fishing is ok but nothing special. but has fab facilities there. includeing a cafe and a tackle shop. Bentley fishery pretty fishery only 24 hrs fishing is allowed and 6 pegs only they appear to have probs finding bookings fishing is not easy nice pegs. expensive and silly rules

i tend to use light braid hairs if i am fishing with luncheon meat or boilies say 15lbs braid sizes 8 or 10 ......... for sweetcorn sizes 10 or 12 with nylon hairs on 12lbs line. same for maize. i have never used fluro because ita lot wider than nylon line and not suitable in my opinion to use except as a main line ,which i use 14lbs line...
