Would give pool hall a miss place has gone down hill since i last fished it split into four pools now i believe. A match lake ,specimen,meadow and the bottom pool which was drained to repair the dam.

My brother did the same however it was left to me to get it out applying pressure on his arm with my left hand and armed with a pair of pliers in my right.

Can't believe its been removed off the board tbh. Its a great way to meet members and enjoy there company on the bank rather than behind a screen. Although the last social I attended (barbel social) didn't quite go to plan an opportunity to attend another would be not be possible without this forum.

Went on the thur/fri on the royal wedding was busy 4 of us squeezed on the road bank 2 fish caught. One on the cell with spodded particles over the top. seems to be weedy in places worth finding clear spots.

It,s been a long time since i fished it but luncheon meat cubed and flavoured with curry powder freelined in the margin caught me alot of fish. Also i found red baits to be effective.

Personally i have had no probs like beza but asking for info or tips about the place off the owners is a waste of time all they do is collect the money and go (which suits me). I don't think they have ever asked us what we have had out of there let alone spots and bait used. what you have to remember is it is not an easy water in any sense but for me the fish are immaculate and with a bit of experimenting with bait and location you WILL get the results. I can only add its downfall is the price for me like beza said.

yes mate twice still getting a feel for the place tbh only managed three 6lb bream . no doubt there will be afew more too I'll keep you informed how we get on.

I hope there are bigger in there but a thirty will do nicely I believe three 30's came out last year.

Not sure where you are based or what you are after but i know baden hall and home farm fishery all have huts to fish from. They all have websites and are all in the midlands.

Its been along time since i wet a line on there when i was young i cut my teeth on there so to speak 10 years or so. so whats the stock like in there now, I am lazy really i only live a couple of minutes walk away did a bit of pre-baiting on the back pool about a year ago but it never really got going.
