  1. Go away Moses from byron bay, here is an interesting fact it is against the law to record tv programs and music off the radio..but i am sure you do it. Far as i am concerned you can can't be forced to kill anything!
  2. That's a shame mate that people are doing that especially when you thought it was a nice and quiet place!
  3. I would support it definately, i miss it alot. Yeah you had to pay but the benefits were good i.e. security for your car, no rubbish covered banks, etc. I would be keen to join if the oppurtunity came up!
  4. Why don't you just buy one of the internet and get it shipped to oz, the way the dollar is its cheap as. Homemade never compares to the real deal.
  5. Well done old chap, worth the wait and i hope you had a proper social that night aka jim shelley style
  6. I know it seemed like a silly question but the reason i asked was because normally when i cast these rigs i feather the cast so the hooklink kicks straight from the lead. I was just thinking with the boat, that it dumps the whole lot straight from the hopper with the reduced velocity as what a cast would hence my question about tangles. Ok it seems that most people here have used a running rig in a boat and had no problems. I have been stuck in old ways using the lead clip set up and now the fish are definately getting a bit riggy on my lake so i thought a running lead in conjunction with slack lines might increase my chances. In relation to the actual running rig itself are you guys fishing shocker style with a stop bead or true running rig style?
  7. Just wondering if anyone here uses running rigs with baitboats? The reason ia sk is because i am thinking about switching to a running rig but however i am concerned about possible tangles with the lead is being released from the boat. Any personal experiences anyone with this scenario?
  8. Nah i ask that, because i am not going to bother reading your posts or pass along tips too you because ultimately you are going to kill the fish & go against the ethos of everyone on this site!
  9. Just a question, are you still killing your fish?
  10. Here here Chris! I have had the chance to fish with some of the Cag members and all i can say that they have done wonders for the past time in the states. From a handful of expats it has now grown to about 8000 members plus other off shot societies as well. Carp fishing is big business now, tackle, guided trips, etc. Australians just don't realise how much money they could make having carp tourists coming to their shores... hell parts of spain would be totally stuffed if they didn't have these tourists coming in!
  11. I must admit i do have a problem with seeing dead carp on this forum, i moved to oz and to hell with their stupid rules. I'll continue to use my unhooking mat and treating my catch with care.
  12. Caps lock off is my first bit of advice! I fish 30lb braid for all my carping, i fish at range most times though we are talking 120 yards plus! Not sad bros about having big carp in oz, i like the fact that the locals are not interested as gives me plenty of quiet waters to fish!
  13. Ian it can really depend on what state you are in, i am down south in melbourne and we have had a couple of weeks of very hot weather which has really warmed the waters which have not been fishing too well. The best sessions i have had have been on nights of quite muggy weather and the fihs have been abit more active.
