Not so much would it matter as it may not but would you be confident fishing with it knowing it could cost fish? I'd personally fish a different style rig that I could see in the margin sat perfect

Could it be that the positioning of the silicone on the hook is causing the hook to sit funny under the pop up Have you tried using any other rigs to see if they also have the same effect?

I personally like to have the swivel on the lead too, looks like you've snipped that off

I had a set of 3 Txi Pluses with the RX Pro receiver but due to financially difficulties had to reluctantly sell and currently using some Wychood ones that cost £14.99 each they are very basic but are currently doing the job but I do miss my Delks Just priced up a set of 4 plus receiver and its almost £640

I always fish mine straight on the mainline with the bottom of the feeder bored out a little so it doesn't sit so tight onto the swivel and then with little effort it can easily pull off so if the line does break then the feeder is free to fall off

I'm gonna be using it a lot more, for instance one of the lakes I was looking at fishing, the GE pic shows lots of little islands and bars when the water level was a lot lower and not opened as a carp fishery. The aerial pics on their website however show none of these features apart from two little islands so either they levelled it out (doubt it) or my little extra research could pay dividends when I visit there I think GE is a very useful tool for anglers and one thats under used by many and with the added advantage of the yardage thing like Cob mentioned you could be on a feature say 10/15 yards further out than you'd normally fish and not even know was there all because of an outdated aerial photo. Brilliant!

Just added every carp lake within a 50 mile radius and found loads of new ones dotted about that need investigating and maybe some virgin waters that could hold some nice fish Now gotta try and export my locations from my work computer to home?

How long are you leaving it between recasts if no bites?

The last time I used a method I too had a fairly short hooklink and found I was getting a lot of little tugs on the line and single bleeps but no hook ups so after an hour or so out of interest I switched to a stiff rig about 12" keeping it well away from the bulk of the bait on the method and within 10 minutes I was in albeit a tench but it seemed to work and then a cast or two later using the same tactic landed a low double mirror

CC do use a soft or stiff rig with the method?

The only UK stations I could only pick up were 5 live and BBC world service on MW nothing on DAB.

Has anybody been able to pick up any UK DAB or FM/AM radio stations in northern France?

Do you need to get a French licence to fish these lakes?

what a place to live with all those lakes to choose from you'd never get bored of having to fish the same place week in week out

Has anybody fished this lake off there for a week in August.

I'm looking for an exclusive lake no more than about 10 acres for 5 people including accommodation. Preferably I would like some where with in around a 3 hours drive of either Cherbourg or Calais. Any suggestions much appreciated.
