  1. o yeah and by the way this video is very old, i think
  2. i suppose they could work within a groundbait but i think most float
  3. i just watched a video with rob maylin in and he showed this rig wich i thought looked good. in theory when the boilie and hook is sucked in the pop-up is wafting around but bescause the hook is heavy that stays at the bottom of the mouth and when it is blown out the hook catches hold in the bottom lip. what you guys think and does any one know what its called. and my seriously bad drawning of the rig lol http://www.putfile.com/pic.php?img=5681507 forgot to label it
  4. Whats that gotta do with anything? lol!!
  5. i dont like flourocarbon i think it will sit up off the botom funny but i would use shrink tubing either lol
  6. yep its exacly same with me mate
  7. tell ya what you sneaky devils thats not a bad idea lmao
  8. my length for most fishing is around 6/7 inches but i will somtimes go down to about 4inches dif im droping my rig in a bag etc
  9. you use braid?
  10. my favourites suffix black silt or whatever there calling it now lol
  11. How can u run out of fake mixers? As you dont lose them when you get a fish!!! i always find a way to lose things m8 im rubbish at keepin my tackle tidy. and they do sometimes coem off when playing fish
  12. i usually just use a normall rig but with a shot on. just keep it simple
  13. this weekend im fishing a lakes thats NEVER been carp fished its a farmers lake its around 4-5 acres and the farmers a freind of the familly hes told me that he feeds the carp with pellets and sweetcorn etc. i have never fished with sweetcorn as a hookbait can any one tell me the best rig and tell me how to tie it plzzzzzzzzzz
  14. same here top hook lol
  15. ive heard of people painting hooks for surface fishing but never for bottom baits
  16. 12lb sounds abit light to me i use 20lb IQ so far thats been pretty good
  17. im using that new wychwood stuff not had problems with that so far.
  18. thats it really mate cant explain it any better but to make one you can use a lead clip, inline lead or method feeder and you need quite a heavy lead or there wont be enough weight for the fish to hook its self properly.
  19. korda braid (forgot the name) takes on the colour of the lake bed sposedly you might want to try that and kryston silk worm is quite light brown
  20. i am definatly giving maggots ago this year and i might get some nice perch as well
  21. whychwood make a silt one
  22. i would just use a simple hair rig with shrink tubeing mate. my favourite rig is a simple hair rig made from 20lb flourocarbon hooklength with a size 8 korda widegape hook. but the hair is made from 15lb silkworm because its really flexible and i think will make the bait act more realisticly in the water
  23. i think your better off droping your leadclip inside the bag.
  24. i caught on a stick afew weeks ago on the surfacei ran out of fake mixers so i cut a stick down with me knife and took the bark of it and superglue it to the shank lol. and ive caught on a slug on the bottom
  25. sorry to be a bit pedantic but i've got fluorocarbon... i use it for a few of my stiff rigs... and i use the knotless knot rig for quite a lot of my fishing... i meant just a rig to try out... any ideas... depends really mate how your fishing but the withypool rig is good and i doubt the sunlight will matter in about 12foot of water which is the average depth of my lake. but even though its invisable to us it might not be to the fish
