yer i know that some companies already do that type but was thinkin if somebody phone up and asked for 10 x combi rigs with stealth skin 8" long to a size 6 hook would be more custom made other than off the shelf bog standard 1s????

Who on here buys ready tied rigs? or would buy them if they were to there spec and cheap enough? im thinkin of the less experence anglers or older anglers having problems and maybe needing some help? would there be a market them?

To me the length of the hair depends on the lake im fishing to how wish the fish are and what everybody else is using. Sometimes i used rigs with short hairs by that i mean 5mm away from where it comes away from the hook and up to hairs of 3-4 cm in length. When it comes to d rigs i like it quiet close to the ring but with a slight gab so when it is sucked in and blown back it acts like a hinge, the bait goes backwards and the hooks is forced downwards I also also think that it depends on the size of the fish your targeting...

you would need to use a inline float. Have say 4-5 ft of hooklink to a swivel then have a clear small float and then fish with a running rig. cast out and tighten everything down then. loosen clutch and hand pull line until ur at the dept you want. if you want to be spot on mark on your rod 1 - 2 ft mark near your reel this makes it easier to count...

on pole winders, and mark on the side of them the size of hook, depth type and bs of line.

Thanks... just think it is easier to tie up rigs in the warm at home and get the rigs perfect than try and make the up at the lake freezin cold.. plus gives u more time to fish.....

i should ad dboth sections are stiff. so its like a chog rig but with a bit on the end.....

u have a short stiff section from ur hook ( only a couple of inches at the max) to a swivel then another section of stiff material. so u are creating a hinge in the stiff hook link.

Try the Terry Hearn hinged stiff rig.

For this winter im fishing 2 rods on zigs and 2 on my normal ways. Ive made up around 10 zigs already and i store the on pole winders. The reason i have made 10 up is that ive got 2 x 2feet 2x3feet 2x4feet 2x 5feet and 2 at 6feet. all the same except the lenght of them all on size 8 hooks to 10lb doulble strenght line. My baits are either bits of fox foam the barrel shapes or bits of cork and small pop up bollies.

Im on the wychwood clear leaders at the mo and am thinkin should i camo them up abit with a marker pen or not? any thoughts?

keep it simple, safe and one that you have total confidence in. Dont just go on the latest band waggon just coz its been in last months magazine.
