johnhere
I dont want to sound rude being a venue owner myself but what is the point of posting details about a venue that is further than the 2 hours MAX from the named port the poster asked for? It just fills the thread up with unwanted info but thats just my opinion. Some forums the replies would be deleted
Guest Anonymous
Whilst I do agree with the above post in some respects, carpquarry does advertise with carp.com so from his view it's got to be worth a shot. It maybe worth the posters time to drive to Portsmouth -> St.Malo or Poole -> Roscoff (if that one still runs) then on to the lake
ralphj
With all due respect John on another forum someone was asking for somewhere within 3 hours of Calais and you answered with this Hi We are in your distance requirements but from Le Harve....95% motor way. 11pm Portsmouth overnight ferry gets into France 8 am then a very easy drive 1st of Jan I know you always post on forums for business, but lets be fair and not criticise someone for doing the same thing. johnhere
Sorry this has gone off topic but I feel I must reply. I note you copied and posted my reply but did not do the same for the post on the thread and therefore posted incorrectly and somewhat misleading. ..........” a chance of thirty if possible, about 3 hours from calais” Not within 3 hours as you wrote. To be honest when I made that post I read it wrong I did not see the “,” between “possible” and “about” and there is no space between the “,” and “about”. I read it “if possible about 3 hours from Calais” I took this to meaning he was open for other options. In fact it was only you drawing my attention and I looked up the post I noticed my mistake
beza26
Whilst I do agree with the above post in some respects, carpquarry does advertise with carp.com so from his view it's got to be worth a shot. It maybe worth the posters time to drive to Portsmouth -> St.Malo or Poole -> Roscoff (if that one still runs) then on to the lake There was an earlier post where the chap who said to go to his pool was further away than what the author of the thread had asked for, also im guessing he doesnt pay to advertise as all the posts i seen earlier have been deleted by the looks of it
carpquarry
Looks like I have started something on this tread, May I first say that I know the poster said Calais but maybe they did not think about other ports and by letting them know this it opens up alot of other lakes for them to pick from, If you look at my first post you will also see that I have pointed the poster to look at all the other lake that advertise and support carp.com . At the end of the day a website like this one costs money to keep it going, whether you like it or not most of that money comes from advertisers on the site and there is nothing to stop others that have lakes getting in touch with carp.com and supporting this forum by paying for an advert.
