ronny12345 Posted August 29, 2006 Report Posted August 29, 2006 the water i fish is an old ash pit which has been turned into a commercial fishery. the water is pretty brown. what i was wondering is what rig material to use to match the bottom or will it not matter too much with the coloured water Quote
carpoholic Posted August 29, 2006 Report Posted August 29, 2006 If you have a cloudy water then it does not really matter. If you want to go for a stiffer rig then use mono or more supple use braid. Quote

If you want to go for a stiffer rig then use mono or more supple use braid. That be what I reckon as well. If you want to match up then have a look at Kryston Mantis Gold. Nice Brown Colour or I think Wychwood market a Deception braid in a Brown flecked Camouflage version (used to be sold by Big Fish Adventure) Quote
ronny12345 Posted August 31, 2006 Author Report Posted August 31, 2006 o right so do you think i should match the rigs to the colour of the water or the bottom? or does he muddy water mean the bottom will be muddy aswell because the banks are covered in the ash and im pretty sure the bottom is covered in it to. if you have never sean it its like stones that are black but it is really rough Quote
salokcinnodrog Posted September 1, 2006 Report Posted September 1, 2006 If its that coloured It's unlikely to matter what colour hooklink you use. If you want to have a play and see what works best or what you are comfortable with Quote
carperdude3d Posted September 1, 2006 Report Posted September 1, 2006 if you go for flourocarbon then it will match every thing Quote
ronny12345 Posted September 4, 2006 Author Report Posted September 4, 2006 i know but tying fluorocarbon rigs drives me up the wall if they dont go too crinkly were i have tied the knot the rig has a permanent bend it in Quote
