mozaxs Posted January 2, 2010 Report Posted January 2, 2010 hi guys. Anybody know of any lakes in shropshire mainly telford that arent frozen at the moment?? Me and two others supposed to be having a day tomorrow but its looking more and more doubtful! cheers Lee Quote
jemsue5 Posted January 3, 2010 Report Posted January 3, 2010 I doubt you will find any in Telford free of ice, -6 last night and the same tonight. In fact i doubt you will find many in Shropshire ice free at the moment. Quote
graywass Posted January 3, 2010 Report Posted January 3, 2010 I was going pike fishing today at Gailey trout lake frozen solid as is Calf heath and proberly every other land locked water in the country Frustrating aint it Quote
jemsue5 Posted January 3, 2010 Report Posted January 3, 2010 Chasewater might be free of ice but i cant think of to many others that might be, even Belvide was froze last week. Quote
marker Posted January 9, 2010 Report Posted January 9, 2010 its too cold, even if somewhere was ice free, i can't say i'd want to be out fishing when the daytime temps are below zero Quote
hat1971 Posted January 12, 2010 Report Posted January 12, 2010 Forget Chasewater frozen solid not going to be many stillwaters free from ice time to get down the river, going to be a while before the ice melts away i remember in the 80s when chasewater frozen solid and a guy drove a car on it (idiot) but was quite funny at the time guess i must be getting old Quote
