alright chaps I've got a couple of hours grace saturday so was going to try one of the above as I no a run or two shouldnt be too hard to come by on either but was wondering which has the generally better stamp of fish in? I know neither hold monsters but i'm only after proof my rig tying and tactics are there or there abouts for the water temperatures we're dealing with at the mo. cheers Lee

totally agree mate we fish the blue quite regular and the week before the big freeze we had a mid 20 and a 17! it seems to struggle with the ice tho checked it yesterday and was all clear with 7 fish show in less than ten minuites but my mate went this mornin and found it froze again! last friday we fished it and returned saturday to it froze! real shame as its a great short session water. thanks for the heads up on randlay tho greatly appreciated. Lee

Alright chaps. Anyone got any info on stock in the randlay pool in the town park? I'm fishing the blue tomorrow but if its frozen might walk over to the randlay and have a bash if its clear never even seen the pool so if anyones fished it i'm keen to find out a little first. Cheers Lee

Alright chaps, I had a wander round blue today to check ice conditions and found (apart from trolleys and rubbish) some railings have started being put in looks like they'll block off the whole back (- quarry wall side) bank?? probably lose over half the swims off the whole pool!! Can anyone shed some light on whats happening down there as some of the best bivvyable pegs are on the back bank??

I've answered my own question - Bayliss's, middle, holmer and trench all confirmed thawed!! fished bayliss's as did nearly every other carper in telford i think! blanked and wished i'd blanked somewhere else - nice to wet the lines tho!

alright chaps, I've hit a moment of desperation - cant handle this ice any more does any one no of any day ticket waters in or around shropshire and the west midlands that arent frozen or have recently thawed i'm based in telford but willing to travel!!! im determined to fish sunday even if it means melting the lake with a blowtorch first!! Anybody seen if calf heath has thawed yet?

cheers for the response Ian, Cant seem to find any info anywhere which seems strange for a massive expanse of water like that so i was starting to wonder if it was a hush hush syndi water? if i dont hear anything i'll drop him a PM. cheers Lee

anyone fished the aqualate by newport shrops? looks like a nice big water possibly holdin some nice large lumps? Any info on stock and how to get a day ticket would be luvverly as i fancy a bash on there at some point?? Cheers Lee

hi guys. Anybody know of any lakes in shropshire mainly telford that arent frozen at the moment?? Me and two others supposed to be having a day tomorrow but its looking more and more doubtful! cheers Lee
