plowmanccfc
hi all ive been invited into a party of about 6-7 lads including me to france in may, this will be my 1st time fishing in france and was wondering if you guys would give me ideas of things not to forget or wished you had took with you once you got to your venues thanks in advance
icemaster
TBH I would take everything that you would normally take for an overnight in the UK The things you need to take more of are clothes, wash bag, bait, PVA and depending on the venue a provision for food for the time if you don't want to leave or enough to get you through until you do, beware we found that in more rural areas the shops don't open on a Sunday, but speak to the owner or baliff and they can give you the local info Make sure you check or change the batteries in everything and take some spares. The only other thing that I take is an old blanket to put over my groundsheet just makes it a bit more comfortable Hope that helps

danm1
Don't forget your beam deflectors either. A fire extinguisher is also recommended - you'll not get done for not having one, but if your car catches fire and you have no means to put it out, then you'll get done. Bless! Wine is still cheap but thats about it.
