mrandmrscarp Posted October 21, 2009 Report Posted October 21, 2009 Lionheart Lakes. On September 19th I took the wife on a weeks fishing trip to Lionheart Lakes, the lake is situated near Piegut Pluviers, a short distance south west of Limoges, the accommodation is a lovely lakeside gite that sleep four with all mod cons, including English TV, quite safe to take the wife along. The lake is about 2 acres in size, with a small island at one end. Several swims are situated around the lake. The fishing was good we caught a total of 21 carp ranging from 14lb to 24lb,most fish were in the 20lb region all caught on boilies, there are fish up to 40lb in the lake, which we intend catching on our next visit There is a great market in Piegut Pluviers about a 7 minute drive away, which is well worth a visit , a medical centre and restaurants can also be found there. Colin(Homer) the lake manager is very helpful and only a phone call away should you have any problems. Quote
