etangdebrigueuil
Hi James, I think you'll be lucky to get a runs water with carp to 40/50lb you'll either have a decent water with big fish or a runs water with plently of 20's but they tend not to go together. What size lake are you looking for. p.s thanks Steve for adding the link.
jamesc1616
I would settle for a runs water with 20s and 30s , Size of lake would not be a problem either way if the link above was to do with your lake, I would be tempted but Would not spend much as its not the ideal venue. but what can you do with 2 anglers for 1week with food. and tackle hire Send me a pm. Cheers.

etangdebrigueuil
Hi James, yes it is my venue but we will be closing from the end of October as we have some work to do in the winter. Try contacting Barry at Lac les Pins I think he's open through the winter and does packages and will pick you up from the airport. Hope you find what you want and if we can help further please give us a shout.

carpquarry
If Carpquarry is not what you are looking you could try Blavet Valley Lakes in Brittany they are also very good lakes like Carpquarry

stu_wigan
Hi guys Let me first say apologies for any bad grammar or spelling in this post - my internet is well And truly goosed and hnce I am using my blackberry for everything at the moment - Very frustrating. My dad dropped the bombshell on me last week that he would like to go to france carp fishing next year. As much as an acomplished angler my dad is he isn't used to whacking a lead 80 yards To the middle of a french carp lake. Now I don't really know much about frnch carping - never been and haven't researched it before, so I'm kind of looking for ideas.... So on that basis I'll be looking for a lake that's not massive in size (prob 8-10 acres max) with a good head of 20's and 30's, and within the brittany or normandy regions. Or no more than 4 or 5 hours from a ferry crossing.... I'm going to have a good scavenge round the french threads to see what I can find but if anyone else has any recommendations then it would be appreciated. Thanks Stu
ralphj
Hi Tony1971 I dont think your promoting these lakes very well by saying they have been unfished for 25 years. The main reason for increased carp growth over the last few decades is that we feed them boilies so unless the owner has put bigger fish in the water since purchasing the lake then the fact that they have not been fished for 25years is not really a good thing. You will probably find that the original fish have reached their maximum weight and that some of the fish are stunted so will grow no more. If you look at fisheries with big fish most of them you will find have been farmed and put into the lakes. I may be wrong but I dont think you will ever find a surprise huge fish in a non commercial water. They dont grow that big on bloodworm alone. tony1971
i understand where you are cumming from m8 there has been stock added to these waters ..though the origional stock are also putting on the ibs i had single scale in june at 32ibs its since been out at 36 8oz this fish is one of the origionals so it seems the origionals are loading on the ibs as well as the stockies as you well know i am sure .if you eat more than you used to it stand to reason the ibs will go on length wise i agree with ya but the depth will be where the ibs go .as this now showing at the lakes .
