aerobrain
Hi Everyone Me and a couple of mates are planning a trip to St John's Lake at Linear next month to try and catch our first 20's. Wondered if anyone could let me know what they think are the top tactics/baits? Also, what colour is the water? Don't want to turn up with the wrong mainline!! Cheers all

jules007
st johns is a very heavy pressured water the fish have seen nearly all the tricks, but i would try 2 grains of boyant fake corn popped up and spod/catty some real corn over it, little and often, the water is gin clear and the bottom is very rough from the gravel, i made the mistake of fishing far side of a big gravel bar, that cost me a BIG fish as the gravel bar wore through my mainline (sensor at time) if when you get there have a good look at manor farm as less people fish on manor and its closer to the bogs/shower car park good luck, i was plagued by bad luck on there
