withy pool rig

im going to be tying a few with pool rigs but i dont have any coated braid. so waht other hooklink do you think would work well?

Soft braid works well with Withy Rig.

Definately the Withy Rig and the original, made before Shrink Tubing was easily available.

The hook is a Size 6 Carp-R-Us Centurion.

great rig the withy pool rig first used it at withy pool just because of the name, had a pb from there on it,later used it on all sorts of waters and found it effective everywhere i used it with virtually every hookhold bang slap in the centre of the bottom lip.

its my first choice if im fishing a pop up. although i rarely fish pop ups my three largest ever carp were caught whilst using them..........yet i still have an aversion to using them , no idea why ???

use a cork from a wine bottle to get the correct bend in your shrink tubing everytime for this rig:)

but did you guys know that the rig was designed for fishing in weed? its a guud rig though for hooking. Mi step uncle fishes withy pool and says that rig is crud on ther now cus all the peeps hav hammered all the fish on it so they dont go anywhere nr it now!!
