gravel coloured ledcore

Im trying to fine tune things abit , I have been using limpet ledcore for years and never really had any problems but now I have stared to fish more and more weed free gravel pits and want to find a replacment for my silt black ledcore which suited me fine until now

 

I would like it on a spool rather than tied up ( don't catch enough fish to trust someone else )

the best i have had is the krsyton score it awsome its super heavy and settles nice on the bottom. :D

my tackle box is full of green bits but I now fish no weedy waters

 

I have moved back to the good old armatube and a marker pen, but would like some quality brown ledcore

I got some of the new ESP stuff the other day, it looks brown enough with a bit of camo to distguise the leadcore

Im facing same problem at moment, i used to use Score which seems to be the lightest colour leadcore around but it still gets darker when wet (and old n dirty). I played around with using 25lb IQ but wasnt convinced.

Im currently using 1.2mm clear shrink tube in lengths from 20"-48" shrunk down onto the mainline AND a length of lead (similar to that used in leadcore, but bought from flytieing section of tackle store, vcheaply), rigmarole sell 1m lengths of the shrink down tubing for £2.70ish but ive just bought 10m(!!) from ambaits.co.uk for £4.99.

Its still early days and im colouring it with TFG pens but it sinks quickly and is certainly less obtrusive than leadcore..

Hope that makes sense??

esp leadcore alllllllllllllllllllllll the way! its brilliant far better than any other lead core ive ever used colour is quite good as well, plus the lead never comes through the outer material.

go for the score. its easy to splice and sinks like a brick, good camo aswell.
