tony01 Posted August 20, 2005 Report Posted August 20, 2005 hi there, i was wandering which rig would be the best to use during the nite because you need to get up out of your bivvy and run to the rods now i've been using the bolt rig. could you suggest any better rig ? cheers ant!! Quote
tomdavpedley Posted August 20, 2005 Report Posted August 20, 2005 surely if you are botherd about catching the fish what ever rig you use then you will still need to get out of your bivvy un less you can a make a hydrolic striking device and netter:D :D Quote
patos1 Posted August 26, 2005 Report Posted August 26, 2005 same rigs as you would use in daylight. you just dont have to worry about camouflage to much. Quote
Guest Anonymous Posted August 27, 2005 Report Posted August 27, 2005 Yep I agree with above, you don't need to change your rigs at night, if you should change them at any time it should be during the day when visability is increased. Quote
eon Posted August 30, 2005 Report Posted August 30, 2005 What a truely bizare question!! Â tomdavpedley, you could be on to something there!!! Just make sure it's covered in blue L.E.D's,has a remote option and it's a winner:D :D Quote
tomdavpedley Posted August 31, 2005 Report Posted August 31, 2005 yeah i think i will go to korda or gardner with that and get rich but it is a bit extreme but at least you will never miss a bite! Quote
eon Posted September 1, 2005 Report Posted September 1, 2005 Just you remember who told you to cover it in blue L.E.D's when you make your first million from it :D Quote
tomdavpedley Posted September 1, 2005 Report Posted September 1, 2005 i was thinking perhaps pink leds! it will be more pretty:D :D Quote
eon Posted September 1, 2005 Report Posted September 1, 2005 I know your game!!!! Your just trying to do me out of my design/consultancy fee You just go ahead and try it mate and i'll see you in court Quote
andy1664uk Posted September 2, 2005 Report Posted September 2, 2005 As mentioned above - dont change your rigs. Â If your worried about the time taken to get out of your bivvy and hit the run then just tighten up your baitrunners a bit. Â Way too many numpties have them on the lightest setting so that it sounds like a belting take on the bite alarm to other anglers. Quote
tomdavpedley Posted September 2, 2005 Report Posted September 2, 2005 would having them tighter help to set tthe hook even more? (but not aswell as my striking device!) Quote
steveallport Posted September 3, 2005 Report Posted September 3, 2005 of course it would the tension is increased in the line so it acts like a bolt rig (in theory) Quote
