I found steam from the kettle straightens it out easy enough

My most common rig is 8ins fluro carbon to size 8 Gardner talon tip some with shrink tube and some with out so i can compare hook holds. So far anything that has touched the talon tip has been nailed so why change a winning formula

I use wide gapes and also the Gardner talon tips. Favouring the talons at the mo though

As mentioned above - dont change your rigs. If your worried about the time taken to get out of your bivvy and hit the run then just tighten up your baitrunners a bit. Way too many numpties have them on the lightest setting so that it sounds like a belting take on the bite alarm to other anglers.
