hoodie Posted June 14, 2008 Author Report Posted June 14, 2008 A few of my mates have stopped fishing it because alot of the carp have been washed into the river Well I fished it and had a blank, saw a couple though. Apparently the biggest fish have escaped and on even caught as far as Duffield! It went down a few weirs! May try the river instead! Quote
derbybeef Posted March 29, 2012 Report Posted March 29, 2012 Bringing a old post out. Just spoke to a couple of lads ref Belper pond who say bigish fish have been out over the last year. Anyone heard it as last I heard most the decent fish left in the floods. I have not fished it for a couple of years, so any info would be great. Failing that may just reading join Quote

cobleyn Posted March 29, 2012 Report Posted March 29, 2012 Not fished there for probably 15 years... Seem to remember the biggest fish back then was called patch...only scraper thirty in there. There was a lot of the fish that made there way into the river back then. Some of the ones with smashed mouths were "re housed" for a better life in the derwent. Quote
derbybeef Posted March 29, 2012 Report Posted March 29, 2012 Agree mate but heard its moved on since then Quote
