jpole Posted January 23, 2008 Report Posted January 23, 2008 thank for the tips i will give it a go but how do you cast a 10ft hook length Quote
willow83 Posted January 23, 2008 Author Report Posted January 23, 2008 Put the hooklength into a cup or depending on the size of your rod just cast it out i have never had any problems with doing it that way but saying that the longest hooklength i have fished is 7ft still should be ok though hope this helps Tight Lines Willow Quote
carpingod150 Posted January 23, 2008 Report Posted January 23, 2008 You can coil the hooklength with PVA string, just be careful not to tangle it Quote
jpole Posted January 23, 2008 Report Posted January 23, 2008 thanks for the advist but has everyone tried the adjustable running rig set up thanks jp Quote
willow83 Posted January 23, 2008 Author Report Posted January 23, 2008 May have a day session early/mid feb, are saturdays okay? Depends how things go on my club water, will sort a date nearer to the time Saturdays are good fro me buddy just let me know Tight Lines Willow Quote
courtz Posted January 24, 2008 Report Posted January 24, 2008 Just lie the hooklink out behind you and put the hoobait in a cup, pop up tub etc so it doesnt snap when you cast it. I don't like the adjustable zig to be honest, just because the comics rave about it it doesnt mean it's the lastest wonder rig Quote
seleb Posted January 24, 2008 Report Posted January 24, 2008 It's not always the best way to fish a zig but if you're fishing water that's deeper than the length of your rod with a zig then it's the only option really. It's been around a fair few years now. I used to use it on my old club water sometimes but with a drilled out cork for a sub float. Quote

Yeah i've been toying around with them on the club water, not got as much confidence in them though as i used to Quote
seleb Posted January 24, 2008 Report Posted January 24, 2008 I only caught using it once. It was roasting though and they didn't even look up for it. Quote
