Pellet Waggler for Method Feeder?

Hi Guys,

Im of for a day on a local Commie water tomorrow and unsure if the Pellet waggler will  work if its a bit cold and no fish higher up in the water. ive got a 9ft Sonik Pellet Waggler rod. Do you think it will handle a 20g method feeder on the cast? Its a fairly sensitive tip so i dont think ill have a rpoblem spotting bites.. i just dont want to crack the rod tip off!!     cheers
