Getting quite tired of fishing commercial waters now. There are many reasons, but mostly because of poor conditioned/damaged fish and always cleaning up after other people.  Would much rather fish a syndicate where people obey rules and respect the fish/environment.

Can anyone recommend me a decent venue in the Midlands area?

i have just been looking at the WULAC site, £100 per year for what is primarily a match club but then the night ticket is £200.

even their jewel in the crown norton mere isnt worth the £300 price tag to fish it effectively.

have been looking at RH fisheries as they have the 'boat house' at weston park only 30 mins or so from me but Rob has done himself no favors thru last years 'the Avenue' debacle

Heard of Foxhole Fisheries?

yeh Northampton way? only good for a 6 month ticket tho and at least two months of that would be taken up with kids school holidays

I was surprised when I read it was only 6 months.

I was thinking of taking a look at Lakeside, but I've heard it is devoid of any fish.

Broadwater near Meriden is producing some stunning fish. Not fished it myself but know a couple of lads who did well on there.

welcome to the forum B.F.M.

i havn't looked over in that direction yet, mainly as i have just moved back home from the birmingham area and have no desire to return

Cyborx - I prefer fishing to sitting on the M6 -only joking but as a dog breeder my fishing time is restricted so need a venue close to home - more than content to spend my time on the Church Pool at Patshull.

i was told that church and lady barbera's were devoid of fish as the foreign otters had been in and gutted the place?

will have to give them a ring and see if there are any places
