Tommy7510
My last upload received some criticism based on how the carp was landed with a net that could potentially harm the fish. I took this advice and made some adjustments as I am new to carp fishing in the United States. smufter
Errrr........... that net is miles too small. And you should be using an unhooking mat. Placing the carp down like you do, even on grass, could (could) cause injury. A proper unhooking mat would help to prevent this. Also, whilst I appreciate it is dark, try to remove the hook before lifting the fish out of the water. If the hook is left in the fishes mouth whilst it is in the net and the fish "flips" violently (as it did when you first tried to pick it up) it could rip it's mouth to pieces. Still not perfect, but it's good to see that you are trying to do it properly. Oh and one other comment..... those socks!! Socks, trainers and shorts combined do not make good bed fellows
ianain
Hi Tommy, I agree with smuft, you need a bigger landing net, at least 40 inches wide and nice and deep; this will help you to get the fish onto the bank safely. You can make your own unhooking mat or maybe use a baby changing mat to begin with. Nice fish
