dayvid Posted June 4, 2017 Author Report Share Posted June 4, 2017 I like their rods sea and fresh , i have the TLD reels for sea and they are great still as good as they were 15 + years ago , you buy a new TLD now and you will be lucky to get 3 years out of it , its their internal components that let them down now, hence why i wont look at new Shimmy reels . Quick all the major manufacturers have made inferior quality reels for the cheap market; I've never seen a bad Quick reel. I have Shimano xte-a 10000 and rate them excellent. I used 'em in France and they were brill... bit dated now though.... I think I still have one up the shed... but their reels are superb...
