salokcinnodrog Posted January 6, 2017 Report Posted January 6, 2017 See if you can find a 3/8 bsf threaded stem bolt or plain bolt Quote
bugsy64 Posted January 6, 2017 Author Report Posted January 6, 2017 Will have a look about Cheers Quote
welder Posted January 6, 2017 Report Posted January 6, 2017 Will have a look about Cheers Bugsy, while these are very good alarms, if a little "busy", they aren't dreadfully expensive from new. I had a set of three for some time. If I were you I'd just get on Ebay and buy a new one. Failing that you need a 3/8th BSF setbolt ,fully threaded, of circa 1 inch in length and alter the hexagonal head to fit within the base of the alarm. The only reason I changed to my current alarms is that the mounting studs in the Optonics had all become loose within their bodies. My son had the same problem with his after some heavy use. Must be a common fault. Hey, you get what you pay for. Ian Quote
bugsy64 Posted January 7, 2017 Author Report Posted January 7, 2017 Cheers Ian yer I'm looking to get a new set but these have been so faithful just wanted to keep them even as me spares Cheers Quote
muscle20 Posted January 8, 2017 Report Posted January 8, 2017 do these not have a locking collar on the outside to keep the thread solid ? if not that's what you need to put on them Quote
muscle20 Posted January 8, 2017 Report Posted January 8, 2017 I also had these . far too sensitive used to keep me awake all night with false bleeps. there just sitting in my garage . Quote
