Hi all,

firstly im new to this forum so a big hello to everyone

Secondly, myself and 2 mates are looking to book up our first carp trip to france. After having a quick look around at the huge number of venues we have decided we quit like the look of Vallee lakes near Normandy.

Before i go ahead and book us up I was hoping to get some feed back from anyone that may have been here before as its alot of money to spend without knowing whats what.

So any advise or pros and cons on the venue would be much appreciated guys.

:D

Cheers Paul.

Hi Paul i read you are looking to book vallee lakes my advice to you is be careful as its your first trip the owner is lets just say less than helpful when you arrive fishing is ok nothing to shout about i have to france now 14 times and if i was to put a list of best venues Vallee would be last.

When we arrived we were spoken to like children for a start ( four of us over 40!) we are not new to this game but also we are not loud mouths billys that you sometimes get at venues. The fishing was hard i must admit but that normally adds to the fun but the owner was something else. He gave us little help as to spots that might produce that you normally get and when we did get them feeding he asked us on two times to reel in and check our hooks and bait which we did but TWICE!!!

On the whole not the best service but i just hope i have caught you in time la val dore is just down the road much more resonable price wise and they cant do enough for you.

Good luck and if you have booked already i hope you bag up and try to ignore the owner racing his quad many times a day up and down the lake.

hi paul valee lake is tempting as a first trip to france but if i was you i would go to a straight forward runs water and atempt vallee lake after a few trips elsewere as its not a easy lake having said that if you do catch there it could be a fish of a lifetime.

if you want a good runs water with loads of carp and cats i would recomend a lake called lords on the angling lines website and you get exclusive use of this lake good luck with your first trip to france.

Hi Paul. I fished Vallee a couple of years back. If you are new to France and new(ish) to carpfishing....there's loads of other places to go and get a load of runs and gain a lot of experience and fun while your doing it.

Vallee is ok, but it's not easy fishing.
