Winter fishing at barston

Does anyone know what this water is like this time of year?

I did very well there in the summer(even though it is a runs water) on the first few pegs 10-11 casting to the 18th green and the fountain with the larger fish 15lb-19lb coming from the fountain.

Have any of you fished it this year?

CC, here's a thought. The weather is positively Spring like, the gentle breeze is from the South West. Ideal, I'd have thought.

 

Why not fish it and let us know how you fared?

funny u should say that i just did and did quite well i fished 24hrs with 3 rods.... i got there at 4.30pm yesterday didnt get a fish untill 8pm then the next fish didnt come out untill around 7am then i bagged up and caught 22 or 23 fish throughout the day with the biggest being just shy of 18lb but quite a few being of about 4-5lb.

i think i must of had about 4 or 5 double takes

it was almost like a summer session up there i was only expecting to catch 3 or 4 if i was lucky it was a good confidence boost cos ive blanked a lot this winter.

now that ive finally had some fish im gonna carry on on the club water and they are finally starting to show there now
