kevtaylor
I'd ring Tony before setting off - the lakes could all be frozen solid, they were at the beginning of the week. The Lakes are not quick to get started each year coz the depth keeps the lakes colder for longer. Whilst I have fished the odd winter night and early spring session, I wouldn't recommend going until May tbh! Good luck!
david1982
been there twice last year and blanked both times so cross your fingers! i'd take a spinning rod and walk the river....
coops_northants
Best time i ever fished bluebells was in febuary. if you know the winter areas then its worth a look as it used to have good winter form for the right areas.
