  9. ive got them, yes they are expensive but they do look good. they have 2 types of attachment, you can set them running or semi fixed. very nice bit of kit.
  10. Didn't even know that bed exsisted, I just paid the same amount for the carpzone lake lounger plus and its smaller. The wideguy may have to go on my Xmas list.
  11. To be honest I have never used the overwrap so cant say, but going by the size of the peak its probably gonna be close to that.
  12. this should be right up your street then mate. you will love the head room, ive seen the 2 man with 2 1m wideboy style bedchairs in it with room to spare. ive had my wideboy bed in there with 2 fellas on the large recliner style chairs with room to spare, nice when you got a rainy weekend.
  13. 5 minutes mate, not difficult at all. the rib sections break down into 4 sections and it all folds/unfolds neatly. the 2 man is huge, it comes in a huge carry bag which makes it all the easier to put away. if your thinking of getting one there are videos on both the 1 and 2 man on youtube. imo you wont get a better bivvy for the price. also the whole front unzips, ive not yet tried that out but will be on my trip next week
  14. i got the daiwa black widow rod bag, its an entry level bag that you can pick up for under £30. it will take 3 made up rods and hold a further 3 rods, has a really nice padded sleeve to stop the rods rubbing together, 2 large pockets that hold loads, i carry my bank sticks, distance sticks, landing net and pole and a weighing tripod with room to spare. made from a really thick material and heavy duty zips, proper bargain.
  15. i own the 2 man version of the bivvy in the link. tons of features on these for a very competitive price. highly recommend!
  16. anyone................................... been doing a lot of reading on spod and marker rods for under £100. the 2 that i keep looking at are: sonik SKS black spod rod priced at around £60 fox warrior DS spod rod priced at around £65 but i have read some amazing reviews for the nash entity duo spod/maker rod priced at around £130, i dont mind spending a bit extra for a better built rod, but if im going to spend £130 then im thinking why not go the extra mile and get the longbow df spod rod for £220 to match my normal rods. really struggling, would appreciate some advice on this or any info on the above rods???
  17. i know man, and cant wait. i normally try to do 1 weekend a month but me and 2 of the lads i fish with have birthdays in early june so its a good excuse with the woman for a 5 day trip.
  18. yes mate zigs to appear to be the way forward on this lake, was just looking for something new. i tried the nash zig bugs on my last day on the last session, had a run but lost the fish. i think ill just stick with these. got a 5 day session in a couple of weeks and was open to trying something new.
  19. I asked the baliff why tho rule was In place, he said he didn't want the fish getting used to floating baits as it may end up similar to a koi pond, the carp may become accustomed to people hand feeding. Not something I've ever heard before.
  20. thats a good point, but this lake states no floating baits, doesnt state no float, so was hoping to capitalize on the loop hole and give the fish something they havent see before. i have seen a youtube video where a couple of guys were using one of the huge ball cat floats with a worm suspeneded in this same lake. was thinking along them lines, no idea what they are called.

  24. hey guys, my current lake doesnt allow floating baits, zigs are fine but no floating pellets, that kind of thing. the lake has become more pressured over the last couple of years. 99% of people i see there are bottom bait fishing weather it be particle, pop ups, wafters ect. ive seen a few spodding but very few. in my tackle box ive got a korda controller float and im itching to give it a go. on my last trip i tried zigging for the first time, had a run from it so will be dedicating a lot more time to that. but im wondering if there is a presentation/bait i could use using a carp float that would work, but obviously without using a floating bait. ive been looking at the nash critters thinking that could work, but as for size/pattern of hook i have no idea. while this may be an obvious answer i have never attempted anything like this. and yes, maggots have obviously crossed my mind but this venue is plagued by smaller species.
