  1. there are loads of great baits to choose from but i would monster tiger nut from dynamite
  2. well done mate, lovely looking Zander
  3. hi, going here for a weekend at the end of august, anyone heard of it it before or know anything about it? thanks joe
  4. it would take 9hours if you get the ferry from dover, 514miles and from portsmouth it is 314miles and will apparently take 10hours
  5. recently there have been loads of fish out which is quite nice to see from all over the lake, and most people fishing statically.
  6. check out norfolk waters at the top of uk venues, quite a few on there
  7. right, well firstly whats wrong with taswood, I've only been there for a day session but it seemed like a very nice place and has lakes to cover all difficulties. stanninghall lakes is one i have been to a few times and its where i managed my fist 20lb carp, not sure if there is any 30's in there thou but diffinatly high 20's it has nice spaced out swims and is around 2-3 acres, its diffinatly not a really hard to lake to fish u just have to find them another lake is taverham mill, that is a bit harder as it is around 22 acres but is one of the most beautiful lakes i have ever see, i have never caught from there but am hoping to as I'm doing my work experience there for 2 weeks starting monday and hope to get some fishing in if you look at there face book page theres been a lot of fish out including a 30 so it maybe worth a try.
  8. okay well i can't see nothing wrong with that, how do u know the were actually bites, they could have just been fish swimming into your line
  9. well what hooks were u using?? normally if your using a 2.5oz lead u shouldn't need to stike cuz the lead will hook the fish for u
  10. hi guys, i know theres a few threads on lakes in france and loads online but theres so many to choose from. i would like to go next year in the summer I'm looking for a lake that isn't to big, the fish in the lake don't need to be really big i don't want it to be really easy but not extremely hard can't be stupidly expensive i also don't want it to take ages to get there by car. think thats all thanks joe
  11. i use to rigs which are both very effective on most waters and also very simple to tie this one is my wafter or boilie rig, when i use a wafter with it i always put a small shot on the hair cuz i use a bit of fake buoyant corn with it. i use a light in lead and a anti tangle sleeve so it never tangles when casting, i prefer inline leads because i find them better for casting and playing the fish. i strip back a bit of the coated braid after the shrink tubing. i use a size 6 curve shank hook and a small bit of shrink tubing because this makes the rig have great hook holds and never come out. there is a rig ring o the shank of the hook to make a blow back effect. this is the pop up rig i use, a multi rig. this is surprisingly simple to tie and a very effective rig that has amazing hook holds which the hook never comes out. the hook is attached by a loop so then there is a tag end which is where i place my split shot so the rig sits upright in the water and then has a very aggressive curve from the shrink tubing and curved hook. again i use i inline lead and a anti tangle sleeve.
  12. thanks for all your replys i did go a few times after school and managed 6 pike and 2 2lb plus perch, very happy with the result!
  13. mine are pretty much the same multi rig but with a curved shank and a very short bit of shrink tubing and a blow back rig used with also a curved shank, very simple rig
