  1. Told you I wouldnt get much sleep lol I'm not leaving until 12.30 and im climbing the walls, I may have to watch a load of Thinking Tackle to quench my thirst
  2. Another method I'm hearing a lot about is spombing out boilie crumb soaked in liquid food. Not fine crumb but the bigger bulk crumb, nothing really to feed up on but plenty of attraction. There's a few liquid food about, you could try. Molasses Nutramino Multimino Mina mino Amino 365 CSL There's just loads Any of the liquids in the build you own packs. I wonder whether these companies would supply more of these little bottles of food if you asked. Soaking boilies in glycerin makes a really hard marble like bait, I discovered that one by accident.
  3. Ooo yeah I've done that as well lol
  4. I've even managed to hit myself with a boilie out of a throwing stick, it's just not for me
  5. I can't use sticks, I've tried and tried, I just can't do it, use a spomb, keep em soft, better for digestion
  6. I've never seen the point of drying out frozen baits unless I intend on crumbing a batch up for a stick mix. What I would suggest,is use the liquid food that you can sometimes get with certain companies. For example, I used to dry out a kilo of activ8 boilies, then crumb, then start soaking in the activator liquid, not the enhancement system but the actual liquid food they supply for making your own. As I've mentioned before, and yes this is a bit of a double edged sword subject, I wouldn't rehydrate with oil, the oil will just seal the bait, on the other hand, carp are attracted to lipids, so it's up to you what you want, but I'd be rehydrating with food.
  7. I doubt I'll get any sleep tonight with the session looming tomorrow, I'm I'm still like a kid on Christmas Eve
  8. I've just had a good look at the New Fox Micron MX+ they look pretty robust and reliable and at £32 a pop,
  9. Just for you Jon #preparationiskey #thatscarpy lol
  10. First bit of bank chat as I'm getting ready for tomorrow's session, time is short, so what ever I can get done at home can only be a good thing
  11. I do like a bit of Cello music
  12. Okay, some of us do Don't just limit it to the bank, you could be getting ready for a session, anything, just a bit of interaction
  13. Trust you
  14. Just an idea with a bit of modern tech in mind. We all have phones with Internet connection, well, if there's any around; how about A Bit Of Interactive Bank Chat while we're on the bank, photos, ideas, show us your tips, or maybe you have a question you need answering whilst your on the bank. As this is a pretty busy forum I think it could work. Go on, give it a go, an, as it happens thread, oooo no hashtags, there strictly forbidden lol
  15. Sometimes you hear a piece of music that just stops you in your tracks
  16. Decathlon still do them at £45 each
  17. Mitchell Avorunners,,
  18. A bit of an unsung hero, but I still rate the Fox Micron alarms of old, bullet proof and reliable
  19. I thought I'd put up a few useful knot diagrams
  20. These were the ones I used with the old springer arms
  21. I think the solar ones were best, used with the adjustable pozi boss thingy, you could adjust just how tight or how loose to have your lines
  22. I quite like springers, particularly with the rod tips pointing up, it's almost like long-range feeder fishing
  23. I have no idea why it's an irritation of mine, but it really grates on me, I can't sit still and relax until it's right lol
  24. I have to have my buzz bars level, the handles the same because it irritates the hell out of me. I have an engineering and wood working back ground, and when you've had years of getting everything plumb and true, little things like this bug me. Anyone else's gear is absolutely up to them but mine, no, it has to be right. Does it catch me anymore fish? No, of course it doesn't but I'm not sat there irritated looking at my rods. I have many failings, and this is one of them
  25. Yep, gently let it hit the water on its side, then it shouldn't open
