  1. ok this is for personal reasons but id like to get some help naming all the syndicate lakes in leicester area ill start it off with the ones i know beedles lake murthys lake jelson meynels sibbertoft j and s snakehill wanlip sand and gravel i think thats it from me but im pretty sure there is alot more around here
  2. hi sorry never been there so cant help in that respect but im going to cretelakes this friday for a week, next year it will cost £520 per week fully inclusive thats food and travel (pick up from dover) so if the lake you are interested isnt a big must and your interested then ill let you know how i got on when i get back
  3. Fair enough then, maybe word things abit different next time Welcome to the forum, Ross ok dad will do
  4. the only thing true about your post is that im new to the forum but i didnt slag you or anyone else off personaly i was just trying to get my point over to help people realize that drayton can be a good lake it was other people slagging the lake off to be honest but if what i said discribed you and in turn offended you personaly then i am truly sorry i am not trying to make any enemies all i can say is, i say as i see things and i take some getting used to but the plus side is you wont find me hanging out of your backside one minute and slaging you off the next as some people can but if we get on ill back you up untill im blue in the face even if it makes me look like a tool. no hard feeling k
  5. ok honestly im not completly sure about this subject and i should of just said if in doubt leave it out that would of probably been better but in my defence i was going off the fact that if you ph water you need one drop to a litre of ph down to reach .70 on a ph chart but to 2 litres you need 3 drops to reach the same on the chart and so on what im trying to say is the more water volume you have the more stick it can take and thats were i got my theory from but you are more than write no one should be asking for that sort of advise on a forum a place were people like to put across there theorys NOT NECESSARILY FACT
  6. sorry to keep adding stuff guys but also in reply to bowzers comment. when im fishing the big gravel pits around leicester i can go over a week without even a sniff of a fish and every now and again your getting liners and it begs the question is that a fish or is it birds, crays?you just dont know your trying all sorts of complex rigs and leaders and im not 100% if the fish are just doing me, then you get out to drayton and straight the way im getting screamers and no more beeps and liners it puts my mind at ease knowing that my rigs are working straight the way and that, the quiet weeks fishing was because there was simply no fish on my bait. so to that effect i suppose you can go drayton and learn somthing new
  7. yes see what your saying there well i guess i meant by rehoneing tactics, seeing if they still work for me, i didnt mean id be learning anything new there. but after a month or two of chasing the monsters to no avail its good to bag a few down drayton anyway why do people think they need to speak bad of drayton as a day ticket water you cant realy get much better its a big water full of growing fish at least your getting your moneys worth. i cant help thinking that this thread is full of jealous lake owners and people that are just out of comfortable driving distance for me its a noble, my daughter absolutly loves going i mean a 15lbs carp looks like a 30 to an 8 year old what more do you want from a day ticket surly nobody classes a day ticket lake as there proper venue if you dont have your selfs at least one sindicate ticket by now you shouldnt realy call your selfs fishermen unless your daft and you like lining somone elses pockets with money on a weekly bassis
  8. i think it depends on the venue if its a french pool/lake and its being hammered all year by us brits then id personal ban it all together but if it is a real sized lake over 10 acres then id say it would be fine and the lake will take care of its self
  9. cant remember saying they are stunning NOT THAT BAD THOUGH and put up a good fight and aint that what its about? stick to golf lol
  10. drayton res is cool yes granted very easy but the fish arnt that bad! its a great venue if youve been fishing a hard lake for a while to re hone your tactics on and its great for a laugh me and my mate go at least once every other month and have a personal match with £10 prize money the only problem i have is bivvying up but this time of the year im happy under the stars
  11. hi it keep it simple i just take boilies and chop most of them up to act as particals, take them out on my boat and every now and again drop a can of tuner on the spot aswell and as for my hook baits i use the same bottom bait topped with a pinnapple popup to catch there eye. its a good tactic that works well on my syndicate. most french venues sell good bait aswell so keep this in mined i take 10kg and top up if needed when im there because if its blisteringly hot most of the time it turns the fish off but thats when you can find them in the snags and other hanging trees so bait lightly with pva bags thats how to fish france but the sorry truth is people seem to think its a case of chucking out 10kg on one spot in the middle and youll bag up but its not always the case infact ive saw people blank using this tactic were as ive done realy well and saved £100 whilst at it but as some good advice ring the venue find out if they sell your bait if so you cant go far wrong this way and if half way through the week you think you need to step it up a knotch (well you get my point) tight lines
  12. hi is anyone else going that week or has anybody just got back? hows it fishing ? i bet the suns out and i hope the fish are aswell
