  1. my choice for that money would be free spirit ctx or avid traction in 3.5 tc
  2. use old line or cheap line as backing or maybe buy multiple 100m spools that are continuos (if thats still possible).
  3. i think you have hit on a really good idea here as like neal said they will soak up attractors so can be left in glug pots ready for use
  4. the pebbles are a really good idea just as long as you are short range fishing because i think a 3 or 4 ounce sandstone pebble might be rather large and therefore less aerodynamic losing yards of a cast
  5. just seen on the website that mustang lake will no longer be open for day ticket fishing from march 2016 but the whole lake can be booked for £1400 a week for upto 8 anglers

    Self Takes

i bought a used canon hs40sx for £70 which has a flip round screen, customizable self timer and smile detection so it takes a photo when you say cheese. dead easy self takes coz i can set camera on bank stick then position myself in frame as i can see forward facing screen then just smile . alot of people use canon g6 as they have flip screen and come with a remote.
  7. the few fish left in the non tidals are getting harder and harder to track down but they are still about. the most consistant place to see them is new mills near toys-r-us. on the tidals in the city there is usually fish hanging around the footbridge near riverside complex . i did hear a rumour of a 50 fully scaled coming from cantley last year but one thing i can say is that those people that track down and catch carp from the river are hardly likely to divulge the true location on a forum.
  8. My mate went there Monday, just daytime , and had 6 fish out including 2 twenties . He fished really tight to far margin if that's any help .
  9. Catch 22 near Norwich the island is bookable
  10. Very moody lake, very few features so not an easy water but a really nice 30 plus fully scaled mirror in there . Most consistant swim is the snags but this is a strictly no night fishing swim,I think due to people losing rods.Overall a lovely place to fish and a credit to the club but don't expect too many runs as 1 or 2 fish a season is the average.
  11. Saw a poster in lathams today that said £11 for 24hrs and 2 rods
  12. That used to be known locally as pike square and I fished there about 30 yrs ago but yes its private. As for carp in that area you need to be quick before our furry friends have eaten them all as lots have been spotted recently without heads!!!
