  1. One of my local clubs has banned the use of braid so just wondering what other people would use as hooklink material! I saw the notice when i turned up at the lake so I had to make rigs out of my mainline which is 12lb esp crystal. I didnt like the rigs at all they felt too stiff and I like using balanced baits but cannot get a good presentation using mono! I would be greatfull for any hints or advise on what too use, thanks!
  2. Not fished there myself but check out freshwater informer you can get it free from most tackle shops in kent. Think it comes out every 2 weeks and there is always catch reports on strawberry fields usually tells you what been coming out and on what rigs/baits etc etc!!! So that mite help you out a bit.
  3. Check out freshwater informer mate theres fishing reports on that place in every issue which mite help! Should be able to get a free copy from your local tackle shop or they got a website if not! Ive not fished the place myself tho sorry! Hope this helps...........
  4. Hi there, just wondering if anyone has fished this venue recently and if anyone has any hints or advice on fishing this place. Im hoping to do a night there soon on the specimen lake but have never fished it before! Thanks.
  5. Hi, fished it season before last, Idone a 12hour night session i used Premier matrix boilies with pva stringers. I caught 3 carp, the biggest just under 15lb all on my margin rod between 5am and 6am. I also had a 4lb bream on one of my other rods about 50 yds out at about 2330hrs! I didnt put much bait out only boilies and a bit of groundbait, but i wouldnt be afraid to put a good bed of bait out as the place is huge and theres quite alot of small stuff in there! Havent fished there much tho, like i said havent been there since season before last but i saw on the news and in the papers that they had a quite a few fish die in there quite recently but im not sure how many or how that will affect the fishing! Hope this helps....
