  1. im not really sure tbh mate, soon as i get chance to ask a bayliff i will do,theres 9 lakes in total i think 16 are open as well as geneva north. im going on lake 1 this afternoon until saturday lunch time so may see you about!
  2. mk5 sri? i did see you go by then, you should have drive down past my van theres more of geneva down there! the head bailiff mark was fishing down there,im sure he would be able to give you some sound advice,he has fished it for years
  3. i was down there too,chatting to a maste on lake 3. (i have a white astravan)
  4. depends what you want really. a mate of mine was down there lastnight at it was really busy, but then it will be for a few weeks. im hoping to get on lake 1 tommorrow for a quick overnighter, quite a few 20's and has done a 30 in lake 1.
  5. Kevs tackle in swaffham. Dont forget a passport photo! there is a place just round the corner that does them though,a little camera shop.
  6. most of the big fish got moved to blackbourgh a few years ago, just before they gave up the lease
  7. i know where your on about,i know a couple of people on there. theres a very good water near bury st edmunds too
  8. good call! i like the cabin lake,as you say some beautiful fish. i havent tried any of the other lakes though
  9. any particular place in norfolk? got to be pocahontis lake at heachem for me,pretty lake with nice fish, just a place i have 'clicked' with so to speak
  10. really good info! i will be on braddy this year, you will probably find me on lake one more than lake 2 though
  11. the only way i have found to catch river carp is to put the hard yards in! i dread to thing the amount of miles of norfolk/fen drains in the last year. try the quietest parts of the river, usally the furthest walk too. where i found a bi head of fish last year was at least a mile walk from the nearest road, but the walk is worth it!
  12. a good friend of mine is a baliff on braddy so i will be giving him a bell,if theres any truth behind the rumours he should know! other place i can get on is blackbourgh end,i have never fishied it as a carp angler, the bream fishing used to be good when it was on klac book, but the carp fishing has always been known to be rock hard!
  13. waveney valley looks really good, think i might have to try it out anyway! i do like catching the odd cat!
  14. shame its about 3 hours from me at least! as theres a few going as its a birthday social he really wanted to keep it within an hour of PE30,or witin 50ish miles
  15. a friend of mine would like to book up somewhere for his birthday this year. he's askeed me to help him find a sutible venue,so i thought you lot would be able to help!! he is after somewhere with a good head of 20lb+ fish with the chance of a 30. As it will be his birthday it will be abit of a social so somewhere thats abit of a runs water would be good! needs to be within an hour or so of kings lynn, norfolk ideally? so far i have looked at taswood, bluebell, cobbleacre and catch 22,would u go to one of these or a different venue? many thanks blythy
  16. only thing putting me off bradmoor is reports of people having there gear stolen while sleeping
  17. never heard of the place and im in kings lynn i keep scouring the web and asking about for a decent syndi or club to get in this year and drawing a blank!
  18. im looking for the exact same thing! so far i have found either bradmoor or nar valley. valley is £150 for the year, but there is alot of water to go at! other than that i keep drawing blanks really, but dont elive everything you have heard about bradmoor,i think alot of it is to try and scare people off
  19. start of june i think. its quite a prolific water,my friend owns a tackle shop local, when he fished the res last winter he had 2 30+ carp in the net at the same time!!
  20. the six island was quite a runs water, just too many small cats, they nail pretty much any bait! cell produces quite well on there or maggots as there arent any small fish. once all the works complete im assuming the res will be a fairly easy runs water,i dont know how many fish will end up back in the six island, but there all going to be big!!
  21. end of march. during the summer its closed as they use the water for keeping the breeding ponds ect. But they are draining the six island lake down over the winter to dig it out so alot of the fish will be going in the res. once the works complete only fish over 26lb will be going back in six island and all the smaller carp and cats will stay in the res and b opened all year as a runs water. theres also talk of joining the res to the cafe lake. my mate done 24hrs last week and there were some others that were on for the week and there had only been 2 fish out all week!!
  22. new carp lake?? the resivour opened at the start of october,as it does every year?
  23. think the cell does well on there,my mate is sponsered by cc moores and still only uses cell there!
