Sorry to disagree, I think reels equivalent to the Shimano 10,000s or better are more suitable to play carp in the 40lb region. Obviously the smaller reels are also not much use for casting distances, only my opinion though!

Not true!!! Most of us fishery operators like to fish other venues if and when we get time, which I don't these days, unfortunately!! Having met Peter, a really nice and genuine guy, operates a different set up to my own, not being hands on! All a matter of choice!!

Where we are spawning normally occurs in the middle of May, April never in 6 years that I have been here, 1 of the best months to fish if you can get on a venue!!

Isn't the lake under new ownership, as I am sure I read somewhere that the original people had problems settling in France and had sold the venue? If I am wrong I apologise!!!
