  1. if i was going to apply for a syndicate i would like to do both day and night fishing and not have to wait a year i only get to do so many sessions a year so i don't fancy having to only do day sessions... and the one that's £300 that's a bit pricey now I've gotta look out for car insurance and petrol and road tax with a tight budget on how much bait and tackle i can buy i just want a reasonably priced water with some good well looked after car and can fish nights and days when ever i want
  2. alright lads im just wondering if there any members only lakes around the Wolverhampton Birmingham area and nothing to far off from them?
  3. i done tat just how i would approach any other water but Andy is not all that bad and was actually helpful and came over to have a bit of banter after i pulled out two of his 20lbers in on day
  4. well I'm going to wilder waters next week for a 48hour session and they might have some pegs to fish still they have cabins and normal pegs, fish from low doubles's to nearly 40lb and its £25 a 24hr session
  5. i have searched but the posts are 3-4 years old that's no good places change drastically in short periods of time, i want to know how its going in 2011 not 07-09
  6. thank you mate i've just gone out and bought some hemp a kilo of pellets and a kilo of corn and some ground bait, im buying 2 kilos of the one with matching pellets some more pop up sand some 10mm the one and i got about a kilo of the bait i normally use as well as a selection of other baits just in case, im probably gonna use mainly partical' s and put small spod fills over with pellets and chopped assorted boilie's. what's the water like, is it weedy, silty, gravel, clay? many features? underwater? above water? is it deep, shallow? are the swims well mapped out and tidy? do you know if the fish fall for bottom baits, popped up, mid water or on top? do i have to cast long distance or mid way or is it better to fish close in? sorry for bombarding you with questions i just want to get as much advise as i can so i cans spend my 48 hours fishing it hard rather then trying to figure out the lake as it may be a once only visit until years on
  7. cheers, im just wondering what bait to use, its the cotsworld THE ONE bolie any good as it says on there website or is it bull?
  8. hey lads im doing a 48hr session down there next week with the old man and was just wondering how its been fishing and is there any recomended swims, baits, rigs etc just so i can get an idea of what to do, im not in the huts by the way, just the bivvie. i have searches post on here but everything is from years ago which is never any good so yeah any comments etc will be good
  9. well im going down there tonight and if you want you can come and find me and ill give you tips on the water. ill be in a green jrc bivvi probably on the snaggs if not the hut or somewhere round there and ill be with my dad ahah.
  10. ok mate you might see me around there alot i been going for around 3 years after august, for the runs water my fav pegs am the snags, the lillys and sometimes the old hut. i recomend the snags for alot of action but it is quiet a small peg. if you got three rods out i suggest you put on to the right of you in the bay area just of the weeds, then one either just under the bush oposite or along the reeds, that always produces and straight ahead theres a sunkan tree. there the spots i always use. as for bait i would go for a 10 mm bait maybe a 15 if there on the bait and you want it the be either robin red, orange, tuti fruti, monster crap but genrally go for the bright colours, they love it, use pool hall pellets they get them frenzied and as for rigs. a simple lead clip and a simple hair will get you results. if you want im doing a 24hr session there friday and i can give you a few tips on the place i fished pretty much every peg apart from two as they never produce or theres always to many lines there, but stay out the snaggs, my peg
  11. pool hall, leighton, merrington and im sure a good internet serch will find you other pools try and be more specific on the area thought mate just makes it alot easyer to give you advise martyn
  12. just go on the search bar mate there is a fourm area dedicated to were to fish. martyn
  13. leighton, codsall pool hall, trestcot( might see you there my fav water) sankeys, rite next to pool hall the canel back of pool hall, youll be supprised at whats in there merrington, shropshire there the ones i can think of around here, havent fished sankeys, leigton or merrington yet havent had chance if you can afford it and get there try the monumet or look at rh fisheried just google it, there three lakes that they own, one is the monument, you have to book for thr rh fisheried and leighton, sankeys is a syndicate, and if you down bilston our braidly you can risk getting robbed stabed or shot fishing the rocket, ladymore and the grapes not recomended them last 3
  14. if only stupied to fall for just abit of hook and line and bait our life would be so much easy to cath them but nope they have to be awkward and make us nearly want to throught our rods in the water when they dont bite
  15. ive heard about drayton its a big water so i sugest you get your casting practise in for the summer also invest in a spod rod and learn how to use it at range or even a throwing stick if you dont you wont be able to get the spots you want to fish or even bait them up just a little heads up so you can prepair. also wise that you gear your self up for a long chuck 3lb rods and a decent set of big pit reels and i think that will help you get a cracker that will keep you hooked
  16. once again mate and i havent had to present a bait in silt yet as i havent needed to owell always a time for a girls looks like im gonna have to get some hook foam to i dont wanna get the hook caught on any silt
  17. ahh ok mate thanks for this and i always use a rod pod anyway so is it best to use pop up rigs and zigs then or is it possible to present a bottom bait?
  18. no offence taken mate im happy to fish there aslong as its good fishing, allryt people and my gear wont be nicked and i just looked on there website and it says the carp pool has to be booked is this true or can you just turn up and pick a swim
  19. to be honest i think im gonna stay awa from essington i been to a few pools around there and to be honest every one i been to is just common and uncared for so i think im going to leighton so looks like ill see you around lads just look for a 15 year old in the wrong swim at the wrong time and blanking all day
  20. thanks mate j.w but is there any paticular swims, bait and tactics i should go for just makes my life easyer on my first time?
  21. i think i know that place, does it normal have a car boot at the back of it and mainly match pools on the fishery to if so i have fished it tbh the word i wanna use to describe it would get me kicked of carp.com
