  1. Do i have to pay for a guest at horseshoe? As my mrs will be with me and i dont think my dad will pay double for her to just sit their and make a few pva bags for me
  2. Something to discuss with my mrs as weve both booked a week off to do stuff together but at the same time we wanna be at home to spend with out familys on our actually birthday. Still need to work out if its better for me to stay closer to home and then go to the caravan or try pack everything plus clothes for a week and do it all in one big road trip
  3. just gonna look at a few other venues and see whats the best option for me as although my dad is paying for the fishing i still have to pay for the petrol and drive there etc
  4. little bit to far out my way if im honest, going to be doing a 4 hour road trip the day after fishing so hoping to keep it within west midlands or very south wales
  5. Hi lads, its my 21st birthday in august and I've managed to convince my dad to pay for me to do a 36 hour session on pretty much any lake i choose that is a day ticket water, I'm looking to catch my first uk 30 which is why i originally chose the monument or shattersford lakes in the midlands but I'm also wondering if you lot know anywhere that's a day ticket water with a big head of 20's and a fair few 30's to have a good crack at, decent toilets and safe environment preferred as I'm taking the mrs with me. as close to the midlands as possible but also thinking south wales as a few days later we will be holidaying there for my mrs birthday so I'm trying to kill two birds with one stone if i can. that goes with out saying i need to be able to take a guest with me as she just does the cooking and company.
  6. Pool hall is cracking place. Its not an easy runs water anymore but fish come off regularly. I had 4 in a overnight session a few weeks back not to mention 20s are coming out as an average size lately
  7. I remember the episode and i know what peg he fished but didnt really say much about the carp or tench in there that im going to target. To be honest they didnt say much about the lake at all if i remember rightly. If its anything like the crystal clear top pool its going to be 2 foot of weed with very limited clear spots but i have no idea of depths and as ill only have 4 hours to fish tonight i dont want to disturbe the swim using a marker.
  8. Hi all im looking to fish himley halls great pool and was wondering if any of you know anything about the fishing there?
  9. Id popped down there a few weeks ago and the amount of rubbish and shopping trollies in there and the people around the lake do not make me feel comfy with a grands worth of tackle on the bank not to mention my car

  21. our local clubs are 100-150 quid, syndicates, your looking at £300 easy for an average ticket down here plus a waiting list that could be as long as your arm if you dont know the right people. do you really have local syndicates that are in the £100 to £150 bracket maybe a decent club with plenty of waters to offer would be your best course of action and spend the extra on tackle bait and car insurance that might be a good idea it would just be nice to know whats available and whats good as i really want to do what i done at pool hall and tackle a single water hard for a long time and get some of the bigger fish out but pool hall has gone way to over fished and pressured and over stocked ad i hate the new owner so i need somewhere new do you have any local clubs with decent fish in you can concentrate your efforts on, top waters comand top money im afraid, i will ask someone i know in Redditch if he knows of anywhere that may be suitable thanks mate i just wish car insurance wasn't so much for learner drivers would be a big help but yeah just pm me if you know of any waters thanks
