  2. Hi and happy new year to you all !

Me and my wing men who I usually go France with every April have decided to stay in the uk this year and do a 7 day stint at a venue on our home soil, my question is does anyone know a big carp venue with plenty of fish to go at with whopers in too that can be booked ! not to fussed about where it is in uk don't mind driving for a good venue

Could do with some showers etc there too,

    Thanks.

Ps pm,s welcome if you don't want to shout about the venue

  3. the Lake is a very mature 180 acre estate lake, depths vary around the lake about 20 foot deepest i think, not 100% tho because levels do change most fishing is done from 100 yards min further you can get out the better, i think there around 2000 fish all pristine condition its a big 30-40lb water with lots of 50s and go to 70lb, there are crayfish present from time to time sometimes there are loads somtimes not but mesh or shrink cures this, there are no bream or silvers or chad in there all been removed, lake is stunning surrounded by forest on all banks there is a proper old chateau there owned by a count also, all pegs are wooden board style so really cushdey so make sure you take a pod or board screws, good pegs are on the point as it called.. 25,26,27, or there is a island in the middle of the lake you can get a boat to,, but all pegs fish well, and tbh is a very very nice place to be, the lady that runs it cristine is very nice aswell brings fresh baggetts around every morning.

  4. nice ! I don't know why but I never thought about carp fishing in oz b4, I have a friend who has family over there and goes to see them when he can and like me he is mad on carp fishing so I think when he goes next winter I will trade my summer holiday for a winter 1 in sunny oz  I have been trying to think of a sunny place to fish during our uk winter for a while and I think would be perfect  , only down side price of flights and time it takes to get there

also I bet night fishing would be abit dangerous with the amount of things that can kill you like crocodiles black widows spidars and snakes all adds to the fun I suppose. do you night fish ? or is it best to do day sessions ?

are there some parts of oz that have more carp than others?

any advice you could give would be ace. thanks

  5. thats very sad news, and thnx for the heads up.. has the owner offered you a refund? if not he should under the consumer act because the miss leading i would ask for a refund fella, nice lake that but the owner never did anything with it it was a lake full of small carp hopfully this will change things and they stock it with bigger carp and make it members only again because that place could be an amazing big carp sydicate

  6. i managed a 21 pound out of lakeside few years back after about 3 years and 1000 pasties later, real slow fishing down there for no real reward there was a rumour of a 30 but that turned out to be a lie, shame really. if they removed the pasties and let the bigger fish grow it would be a top fishery the lake itself is real nice, saying that tho iv not been in 2-3 years, whats the biggest been out this year?

  7. hi i too am always on the look out for new venue in leicester or nr, spent most of my days at mill farm and cliffton lakes, but for proper carp i go to and near northampton,or a small venue nr rugby.... been for some walks up and down the soar before never seen any carp, good perch fishing tho... would love to know the spots on the soar that hold carp tho any info would be good i will get down there next wknd :D tnanks
