  1. i dont think you understand what tubing i mean. its 0.5mm thick and yes i do Well if thats your attitude, get on with it, and good luck!
  2. Not being funny, but try some fresh stock of silicone tube, thats if you really need tube on your hooks?
  3. I saw this used by Andy Little on a Richworth DVD, The boilie was cut in half, then half was put on the hair then the attractor tablet then the other half of the boilie ( pop up as I remember) And it worked, on the DVD He called it the fizzy burger rig I don't know if you can still get them?
  4. No, Never on it's own, maybe down to my poor angling
  5. I have tried
  6. Good post, However I still do not have the confidence in fishing them on their own, I find them great as a "tip" bait with Maize, corn or peanuts as they keep the baits on for the cast and add a little buoyancy, plus the visual aspect that’s all.
  7. So are you saying that Carp recognize plastic as a food source because of it's amino acid signature? Let's not forget that it is a synthetic structure so is not made up by proteins, which are made up from amino acids???
  8. That's interesting. So will an inert substance such as plastic change the PH level in the water around it?
  9. This guy is in there Steve!
  10. Nice soft feel Class as usual J
  11. Even as singles fished at range?
  12. Give it a go if your confident in it! For me I have fished Corn tipped with fake corn, and been robbed of the real corn and received no takes! Makes me wonder? but if yours have been glugged, then that makes them a bait in their own right, I think
  13. Fished on its own as a fake bait, sorry I could not do that
  14. Do you have confidence fishing them on their own? I must be honest, I never fish them on their as I have no confidence in them an always fish them as a "Tip" bait, A visual attractor. Would you fish it on its own at say 140 yrds as a single, and expect to catch???
  15. Tom Riddle, thats what Brian calls him I loved Goblet and The Order, they have to cut them down, or they would be 5hrs long, not that I would mind
  16. Still a superb reference which still holds true today, some thing may be seen to be outdated, but his application will still catch fish anywhere, apart from the lake he blanked on that I didn't! One of the modern innovators, I think we all owe him a great deal, Thanks KM
  17. How dare you say his name Mudblood!!!
  18. I have read them all in published order, seen all the films in order and have all the DVD's, I'm a Squib
  19. Good point Jake, Can you please explain why you would change them, as I read it all the time but no one ever gives details as to why?
  20. "Where as my mate uses shorter rigs 3 - 5 inches and if going off fish on the bank I am way ahead!" If it aint Broke dont..............................................
  21. Try this: A stiff 5" fluro hook link to a knotless knot, with shrink tube on the hook( make sure the tube is cut off at an angle in a direct line to the hook point) and is only fixed opposite the point on the shank, and for the swivel, I do a double overhand knot passing the swivel though the loops twice to form the loop, this nails them every time and you will land 99% Tip: You can prepare shrink tube at home, just by tying a normal hook as a pattern, and then shape the tube over steam: 1 easier and the plastic will set, and 2 you can reuse with no worry about over heating your rig
  22. I must agree Keith, as I was a was a architectural model maker for 15 years, so working with detail and lines and drawings, also AutoCAD makes me fussy about my rigs. Having said that I only really use two types as I am confident in them and have had many Carp on them, they look simple, but the mechanics are in place and very effective, my general approach is quite methodical but not fixed, and yes Nick I think over a period of time it could become "natural" or second nature which could be seen as watercraft.
