  5. damn it!!!! and there was me thinking id cracked it!!! ah well im just gonna jump in my little red and yellow car and head back to toy town!!!!!!
  6. thats how my mate ash does it, but personally i think there is more residue left by doing it that way, and i wouldnt feel as confident about it staying closed if i was about to pelt it as far as i could. also did u notice i mentioned about wrapping the pva tape DOWN the knot? this gives the bag extra tightness. but each to their own, whatever works for the angler.
  7. im the same mate, i had only used them once before october last year, and that first time i cast in, the bag hit the water, floated on the surface and then floated off depositing baits nowhere near my rig!! since then, ive practiced a lot, and now i can tie them pretty quick and quite tidy, i use them all the time now, but you are right about hooklinks, they are normally short for bag work.
  8. i wouldnt normally use such a long hook length but i know there is a lot of silt on the bottom of the venue i was fishing, and i was thinking once the bag has disolved and got disturbed the balanced bait could settle on the silt rather than in it. i would usually use a shorter, uncoated hooklength though. the bailiff also told us thaton a clear bottom the fish in there will sit on your lead and eat around it ignoring all the baits close in. this time however i caught on both short and long.
  9. ha ha ha sorry iberian, i dont usually have trouble finding the hole i was whispering cos i was fishing down in the margins. bill

it seriously breaks me! got to the lake yesterday and the swim i wanted had 2 big bags of rubbish hanging from a tree! bill
  20. ed, i use this rig an awful lot, and, in answer to your question's,1 no i dont think its the most versatile, due to it being an in-line, if you are fishing over silt, the lead will drag your hooklength into the silt aswell, and also, 2 yeah the hooklength does matter for that reason, plus it also depends how far up the leader/tubing you put your bead, to how far the lead will come back. plus if you tighten up the line to the lead after the cast, the lead should be bang on the swivel! hope this helps pal bill
  21. most of my hooklinks are around 6-8 inches, works for me! bill
  22. i use a coated hooklink, with the last inch behind the hook, stripped back, and a pva nugget on the hook, works for me! bill
  23. i use the korda quick clips, and once the rig is on the clip i cover the clip with the korda silicone sleeves, and i have never had any problems whatsoever, i trust them 100%! bill
  24. yeah ur right pal, they are expensive, hence the reason i dont use them often ha ha, magic, absolute magic! bill
  25. zander, im just not into leadcore mate, and the guy reccomended it to me, and i find it brilliant, i must say, i dont use the choddy that often, but when i do, (not being big headed) ive caught 90% of the time magic, absolute magic! bill
