  1. I went last year. Blanked! The guy who works in the shop was as misserable as sin. Didnt really seem bothered to give advice. Would i go again. Not really.
  2. I place the line between my thumb nail and finger with the curl arcing away from my thumb and then just pull it through a couple of times.
  3. what are your prices mate. cant find them on the website.. cheers, mark
  4. Might give it a bash tonight i think. Getting bored with Aldeby. Although i'm catching quite well from there, i cant seem to break the 20. I hear you are a regular there Jim so it must fish quite well. I didnt know you lived in the Stoft . Would be cool to see you get one of those nice carp from Slaters Lol. Cheers, Mark
  5. How is it fishing at the moment. Got a few days off this week and have not fished it before. Cheers, Mark
  6. Myself and a friend have just booked a session at the monument for the 12th & 13th of june. Been meaning to go for a while now. It looks a tidy well kept place to fish. Its got to be worth a go even if it is 60 quid for 36 hours.
  7. I'm very new to carp fishing so all the technical jargon is a bit above me at the moment. Most of the places i have been to look at have deep margins which would be difficult to see your rig let alone judge how it is sitting on the bottom. I guess a good way would be to test a rig in the sink at home. Thanks for you replys . Mark
  8. Hi all. Just a quick simple question. How bouyant are pop up boilies (say 15mm) compeared to how much weight is needed to keep them on the bottom. Would a single swan shot do the job or would i need more than that. Cheers, Mark
