Hi im looking to book a lake for exclusive use in france. I would like a small lake, the biggest 7 acres, with a good head of carp to 40lb+. The lake must be avalible for the week begining 22nd August 09. There will be 3 or 4 people fishing with either 1 or 2 none angling guests. Thanks very much for your replies in advance.

Yeah i have heard that there is a fre lakes there but dont really know anything else other than the leaflet that they gave me one day. any infomation about any of the lakes there would be good thanks

Its not a bad lake really, catch a few fish but dont expect to catch a thirty, if there is any in there then i would be very suprised, the biggest out was 25.2. we caught about 30 fish (about 20 lost due to the snags so take braid if you wish to fish the right hand side of the lake when looking from the lodge). All the fish caught were between 20 and 25 but were in prestien condition as we were one of the first to fish it. You must take a bait boat as the places that look all carpy dont seem to fish so well!!! dont even bother fishing the 2 trees either side of the double swim as they never produced a single fish all week! but hey the look very carpy! The main problem with the lake is a simple one to get round really, the water and i dont mean the lake i mean the water in the taps, you probably know not to drink it but thats not the biggest problem, its when you shower in it, it smells and stains almost everything! My wifes hair turned ginger and she is normally blond and the other girl on the trip her hair turned green!!! you may not notice this at first but just be warned. The lake overall is well worth visiting the guy that meets you is cool although he doesnt speak much english, bait wise any boily works but try taking some fluro pop ups as they seems to work well. Also take some mixed pellet. the best place to fish is on the back bank or on the right hand side but remember the snags so use braid. I have recently been told about this lake and was wondering if anyone else had any infomation about it. Size of the lake? Fish stock? day tickets? Best baits? Bait boats? Well like i said any infomation would be good as i have only been told the name and a brief decription of the location. Thanks in advance for your replies

Hi there, have you looked at White acres they have a very good set up of lakes. Nelsons is highly recomended its a 1.5 acre lake with the average carp about 20lb. My brother fishes there alot and he has landed a 27 something. If your PB is around or under 18lb then its a must as i can almost garantee you will beat your PB. If you need more info or exact locations then i would be pleased to help you. Jimmy

I moved to portsmouth 3 weeks ago and have not yet found any lakes that are worth fishing, i would like a lake that has big carp. i am not too bothered if they are membership or day tickets but i just need somewhere to fish!!! Hi all, i have rescently got back from fishig a lake in france. Had an ace week but no record wish as they was all "stockies" never more than 26lb. As i said a good week but i want to know any recomendations on where to book up next year as i would like a good weeks fishing with hopefully lots to catch but i want bigger fish in order to beat my PB. My brothers PB is 40lb and he will be comming with me so we need to find somewhere there will be a hope to beat his aswell. I have looked on angling lines, has anyone booked though them? if so what are they like? Thanks in advance for all your replies
