I went to Wellington tackle shop yesterday, and behind the counter there were two pictures of big carp one of the was a perfectly scaled linear! And i asked the chap where they were caught from as i recognised the guy in the photo i think his name is liam, and the chap said it was from the Flash! Go down take a look if you want some proof they were good fish! pete

I haven't fished it recently, but there are some nice carp in there i've had them to 18lb There are loadssssssss of skimmers and small bream that will keep your bobbin bouncing all day which can be annoying. Pete

I caught a coot there once, weight about 3lbs personal best i think lmfaoo. Thats the only thing i ever caught there, even tho ive only been there once, so many better places to fish that are a hell of alot cheaper

Chill your beans jon hehe, well im sure you wud still catch fish even if there was a leak, and its been stocked alot in the last couple of years, so plenty to go at. I have fished the runs water alot instead which is great fun especially if you go with a mate, loadssssss of fish in there, but there mouths tend to be abit mashed which is a shame, But runs are easy, with any bait, but usually small baits are best, plenty of features to aim for to. But if you want the big stuff the specimen is the better option, but can get quite busy at times, especially weekends so the best pegs are usually taken but good luck anyway

well i fished withy a while back nice pool and good features to aim for my biggest was 19lb mirror with half its tail fin missing so u will know if u catch it again aha. Nice place but there are so many skimmer bream which will keep ur bobbins bouncing lol so i recommend using slightly bigger baits as they drive you madd i caught a tiny skimmer on a size 8 and a 16mm boilie . well i know for sure the biggest in the speci is 28LB but a fish called AWOL was about 26LB but hasnt been caught for a good lenght of time so they thing thts near 30 now. also she tells me there is an origional in the runs water tht escaped a while ago which they are very sure is a 30lber now but bein a runs also alot of small stuff so again specualtion cheers pete x
